Of the ten remaining games, I think 7 wins without bad losses (Rutgers) gets us in the tournament. If some of those wins come against Maryland, Wisconsin, Iowa, or Michigan State, all the better for our seeding.

Is 13-5 really all that bad though?    I really don't want to get into an "expectations" argument again, as that seems to be the catalyst for most disagreements on this board.  However, 13-5 in the B1G isn't so bad on paper, and considering how extremely young and inexperienced the team is overall, I had "expected" much worse.  If we can go 13-5, make the tourny, and win a couple of games (hoping for favorable matchups), then it's my opinion that the year has gone much better than I would have a guessed a few months ago.

I think his tongue was firmly planted in cheek. If anyone is disappointed with a 13-5 finish, hopefully they can find the door.

But so much depends on HMP and DD improvements. I could see us anywhere from 13-5 to 7-11.

I agree but I wouldn't be surprised with either result. We have some great players, but we have some legitimate weaknesses. Hedging my doubts, I said 10-8.

This schedule really starts to come to us now. If these guys snap out of it I see a blow out loss at Maryland but a real chance to win 7 more games. Get one in the BTT and we are at 24 wins I predicted preseason. With the schedule advantage I really want to see if Crean can rally these guys and finish a season strong for once.

These games are really important down the stretch. My guess is 11-7 though, same as my preseason prediction. Or maybe I had us at 10-8??

8 regular season games to go, but it's hard for me to see this team doing better than 4-4. Rutgers is not going to be easy, especially not the way they competed at Assembly Hall. And, Purdue will be full of confidence after handling us so easily at their place. I don't see anyone giving us much of a chance at Maryland. I'd love to be sanguine about our prospects, but with recent injuries and defensive lapses, there is considerable down-side risk. I get the sense that we're holding together right now by the skin of our teeth.

I will admit my scenario requires us to win 6 in a row after a Maryland loss which my head tells me we can do against the competition but my gut says we cant sustain the consistent play needed to win 6 in a row.

If we can get healthy, we are capable. It would be nice to go into March on a hot streak with a dangerous team... Just really comes down to the matchup for us. Every game. It's impossible to predict. Let's start with Michigan.

Boy, I'd be disappointed with 4-4 but can't really argue with you. I agree Rutgers may be tough for us though it shouldnt be. A loss to Purdue at home would start the official mutiny.

Dribble penetration has hurt us as much if not more than simply dumping it down to the post.  We have to stay in front of our man and cutoff driving lanes.  It also hasn't helped allowing wide open threes.
