And they seem young too, so a lot to build the program with going forward. They’ll need to figure out how to manage the portal to keep thing rolling like all of our programs. mamasa and J34 2 Quote
LamarCheeks Posted May 11, 2024 Posted May 11, 2024 Anybody know how the home team is determined in the B1G tourney? Is it simply a matter of the higher seed getting that distinction? We've been the visitors for our past two games and Michigan has been home for its two games. Unless it's a seeding thing, I would think we would get a turn at having last at-bats. Quote

It used to switch in baseball and softball conference tourney till recently but now it is always higher seed. Now need to do same in NCAA Tourney which still alternate based on a convoluted formula. LamarCheeks Posted May 11, 2024 Posted May 11, 2024 Copeland looks out to me. Shoulda held on to that challenge. Quote
LamarCheeks Posted May 11, 2024 Posted May 11, 2024 Bad baserunning and shoddy defense are gonna cost us this one. Terrible throw from about 15 feet. Sheesh! Quote
JerryYeagley23 Posted May 11, 2024 Posted May 11, 2024 Ugh. That’s a tough way to lose a championship game if indeed they hold on now. Quote
LamarCheeks Posted May 11, 2024 Posted May 11, 2024 Michigan wins 3-1. We had our chances -- but a brutal baserunning mistake (that actually was on Stanton) and bad defense proved fatal. Still, we've made significant progress. We were in it till the end. Michigan beat the snot out of us earlier this season during a three-game sweep in B-town. Quote

Don't know if Stanton should have sent her and then tried to hold her up. As a pitcher you have to be able to field your position no excuse for that. Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted May 11, 2024 Posted May 11, 2024 Tough ending but that they made it to the championship game is something they should be proud of. Quote

When she didn't, it was trouble and our baserunner was caught in no-man's land. No-woman's land? No-person's land? Well -- you get the idea. Quote
