I saw somewhere he was an excellent passer and strong on the defensive side.

Sounds exactly like what we need from a untested freshman.  If he can do both of those pretty effectively, then that will help our shooters immensely.  I hope he's got some strong rebounding skills though.

I'm strangely amped about this commitment and this years team in general! I think we're definitely gonna have an 'edge' about us and that was sorely lacking last year !

Yeah not to bash current IU players but Holt is not the questionable 14 recruit in the class.

Unfortunate that he missed the summer and the staff identified others earlier only to realize they needed more this year. Not too long in the weight room at this point.

Looks like he averaged 7.1 rebounds and 2.1 blocks on EYBL circuit. Article from Crimson Quarry says "natural propensity for rebounding" and in high school averaged 14.6 rebounds and 5 blocks.  Tough to really tell what he'll be able to do against D1 competition, but the EYBL stat looks pretty decent!

This is where my head is as well.  If he works and comes in with a great attitude I could see him in the rotation by the end of the season.

I think this is a legitimate question. There are two players off the top of my head right now that would probably be advised to transfer. Hartman and Priller most likely. They'll never see the floor
