Sorry----Dalton ----could not respond sooner due to work!  Not trying to pick a fight with half the fanbase----heck I've agreed with you on many posts---but I have the right to express my opinion that posters should not down players that haven't even played a game.  That's what message borads are for!  You also have the equal right to express your opinion and we can just agree to disagree!  No hard feelings here and I hope not with you either..  Our passion for IU can overcome differences of opinion about the Coach or the players.  I am old school and don't apologize for it----I enjoy recruits who are brought in as role players or for a specialty just as much as I enjoy our superstars. I do get testy with the "they're not good enough crowd"----let's just wait and see!

 

I do agree the season needs to start ASAP so we can stop the in-fighting (like that will happen!)

 

What brings us together---IU---should be stronger than what pulls us apart!

Fair enough. That's all I was looking for. I've seen some people take those shots and give their opinion then turn around and pull the "if you have nothing nice to say then shut up" stuff. I don't mind agreeing to disagree. That's part of the fun of message boards. I just want everyone to realize we all want IU to win whether we are positive or not. I want nothing more than for Crean to prove me wrong and win a NC at IU. Also there's no grudge here either. I said my piece and you replied and that's good enough for me. I don't normally hold grudges(with a few exceptions) anyway. Heck I remember when coachmayhew and I had a pretty heated argument. We both talked and now you'd be hard pressed to find many people here I like more. Ill admit I can be a bit of an ass sometimes. Lol

That is something we agree on. I can't wait for the season to start.

I actually enjoy both sides of the fanbase. I like the sunshine pumpers and the "realists". I float somewhere between. I admire how some fans can see only sunshine when clearly there are dark clouds. However, I can reset my expectations at all times when given more data to admit. I think we have a lot to be optimistic about this year really. Namely our top 8 or 9 players.

I also think it is okay on message boards to "predict" things and I think it is perfectly fair to question April and Priller based on our limited given information. It doesn't mean we want them to fail. It's clearly the opposite in reality. It's an easy talking point because Indiana has rarely had a recruit rated as low. It makes for interesting debate and discussion. Afterall, this is a message board for information, debate, and discussion.

Agree Naples---that's the type of news I am waiting to hear---that IU is implementing a new pressing scheme to take advantage of its plethora of guards!  That's code for---if we are going to have a lot of turnovers ---we might as well make sure the other team does too!

I am sure we will all eat a lot of crow this upcoming season as we all feverishly post ---acting like we know everything when we actually know nothing!
