6'4" Guard Nick Zeisloft joins Hoosiers

I really hope the fan base has that feeling back when a defense breaks down and there was hulls standing wide open at the deep line. The crowd had their hands up while the ball was still in transit to Hulls lol. It's like a big "gasp" when a shooter gets a ball kicked to him. Freaking A, college basketball is back!

But yea, we need more sample size but really, did Etherington or Evan Gordon or anyone of that caliber rip off for 24 and 10/10 on the strip? That is at least very promising. I think Nick can easily be a 9-12 guy which replaces sheehey production but probably more efficiently in doing so. We have Ritchie for the dunks anyway lol

Evan had that ridiculously efficient game against Oakland I believe. Went for like 22 with only one missed FG. Definitely the exception to the rule.

Come on Santa Claus Land, its almost Christmas.  Lighten up and admit you were wrong... :)  Smile brotha, its all good!

He hasn't proven me wrong yet though.  It's just posters building up the legend of the Illinois State role player because of exhibitions.

Agree bleedhoosier----we finally have the pieces to run the offense Crean loves.  It is great to see teams being unable to clog the middle again. Now--we just need the inside game to be solid and we will be fine.

The Hall is going to be 3 ball heaven this year!

Funny what can happen when we wait to judge players until AFTER the games actually start!  :D

Z3 is a keeper!

Wait, when did we start playing in Big Ten play with him? I must have fallen asleep for a really long time because the last game I remember IU playing was a meaningless exhibition game

I do agree King that exhibitions are not BigTen----but after this last game and the streams I watched from Canada---the kid can play---he is solid---that's my point.  I know he's not a Yogi or JBJ---but he is going to get a lot of minutes and help this team.  Will you at least admit that much?

Ironic how some posters (not referring to you King) thought he was no good without ever seeing him play a game with IU and now that he has played several exhibition games with IU and been solid---the new line of attack is---well they are not BigTen games.

Oh--the logic.  Let's just be honest and say he was a solid pick-up who will help the team win games.  Is that so hard?

But that was also the exception to his dismal year at IU

I was at the game and I saw him ready and quick to shoot in the game. Something that we didn't see from Etherington or Gordon last year and something Hartman doesn't seem ready to do yet either. It was just an exhibition fame but I think with his attitude he is already an improvement over 4 or 5 guys off last year's squad

Every game allows for growth and a learning experience no matter who you play. No game is meaningless. Of course the final score doesn't matter but it's all about players getting game experience and reps.

I understand the competition is not B1G level, but he's quickly proving to be an excellent shooter.

@insidethehall: In six exhibition games since joining the program, Nick Zeisloft is 15 of 28 on 3-pointers (53.8 percent). #iubb

Now that is what I call efficient------sniper-like!    :ninja:
