NBA Draft: Noah Vonleh

Recommended Posts

Zeller was expected to go 10th or 11th according to most people with actual inside connections in the league. It was a shock to everyone that he went fourth overall, and was credited to the Bobcats front office being as weird as they always are with drafting. Just about no one except the most delusional IU fans thought he was a top 7 pick before the Draft.

For while this was the case but in the week leading up to the draft those same insiders said Cody was jumping up draft boards.  On that night he was not going to fall out of top 6 in my opinion because the Bobcats, Pelicans (eventually traded Noel but it was their pick) and Suns were all targeting front court players.  It just happens that the Bobcats decided Cody could help them immediately versus Len and Noel who were injured all year.  Also, look back at that draft, the players drafted after him did not do that much better and I think given how he played in 2nd half of season the Bobcats (Hornets now) feel pretty good about their pick.

At least I kept mine in a single thread and didn't do it every damn day. You and a few other posters seem to think that you are better than every other poster just because you see things differently than them.

You're pretty delusional if you believe any of that post you just made. Sorry, that's just the truth.

Michael Carter Williams who was drafted after him got Rookie of The Year even though he played for Philadelphia.

Key words, " for Philadelphia".. MCW was able to shine in that PG (? right? ) role there.  He had tons more playing time and was able to put up shots.   Meanwhile, Cody is pretty much the back up for Jefferson. so his playing time is much more limited and doesn't have a crucial role.

Shine is pretty generous wording for him. He more benefitted by playing in a horrible rookie class, and having free will to do whatever he wants. Guy shot 40% from the field, and turned it over 3.5 times per game while averaging 6.3 assists per game. His advanced statistics weren't good either, he'll get ROY and it makes sense, but it was more by default

Thank you for verifying what I just said...

Charlie,

Statement one: "At least I kept mine in a single thread and didn't do it every damn day."

You were all over the place and even if you did "keep it in one damn thread" does that in any way make your previous behavior acceptable? No

Statement two:  "You and a few other posters seem to think that you are better than every other poster just because you see things differently than them."

I can't speak for others but I in no way think I'm better than every other poster just because I see things differently. You should try not speaking for others as well. It just doesn't work very well.

Saying you're dead wrong about something does not mean I think I'm superior to you. You made one false statement about your posting style followed by another false statement about my thought processes. Truly, if you believe either of those you are delusional on your statements. You were all over the place with your posting and you have no idea what goes on in my head. Your deductive reasoning skills are often manifested in your posting. Think about it.

Regardless of why Cody went 4th overall, none of us can say that Crean didn't have an impact on Cody's surprising rise in the draft. Cody and Vic both benefitted from CTC. To what degree, I have no clue. But I'm sure neither of them are upset with the results. Sent from my place of advanced, analytical thinking: the toilet.
Didn't realize you were in the draft war room for Bobcats. Who did the rest of that front office want to pick? Who were other teams going to take and when? Would like to hear insights since it seems we have another insider on board Also can't ignore the fact that the consensus among GMs was that Zeller and Oladipo were most prepared for pre-draft workouts/interviews. Zeller was going in top 7 picks regardless of MJ. Suns may have picked him 5th instead of Len for all we know. A little absurd to say it was all MJ. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
Oh so you were in it and the entire FO wanted Zeller for sure? Double edged sword there big guy. It's not absurd at all. You must not have been following the draft or Cody very closely for that matter because wide and large everyone was shocked that he went 4th. The "we have another insider" comment towards me was pretty ignorant too because If I'm trying to an insider it seems like you're trying to be the biggest insider I've ever seen. Thanks for the big waste of time replying.

If it was up to you Crean wouldn't get credit for anything. We get it, you don't like the guy and want to discount anything he's done. I think he had a bad year as coach this year but also think it's ridiculous the revisionist history many, including yourself, are now taking on Crean's job well done from 2011-13.

This post shows you know absolutely nothing about me.  I've given him credit for some things on this very board, like the Wisconsin game this year.  I don't believe in double standards though, so if I give him credit I will for damn sure give him blame.
