djsalway Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 If my Astros don't win it this year, I'm rooting for the Royals.I like what the Astros have, but they're a year or two ahead of schedule. You should just be happy that they're over .500 after the past few years :) Naturalhoosier 1 Quote

Doesn't mean I won't be rooting for them to win the effing thing though!!!!!!!!! ;) ;) djsalway 1 Quote
djsalway Posted July 26, 2015 Posted July 26, 2015 Royals traded Finnegan, their 1st round pick last year who was a part of their bullpen during the WS run. In my opinion, Cueto wasn't worth trading Finnegan for if he doesn't end up signing an extension. mdn82 1 Quote

mdn82 Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 I can't wait to see what Hamels brings in. :)I almost don't want the Cubs to go in on it unless they don't give up Russell, Bryant, or Schwarber. Quote

Then they wanted Baez or Castro. They wanted those two plus 3 top 5 prospects last I heard from the Cubs. Nobody in their right mind would consider the first two tiers then add a Scwarber, Torres, McKinley type. I would rather go after Price. Bobman1 1 Quote

Apparently Severino, Judge, Greg Bird and Jorge Mateo are off limits. As a lifelong Yankees fan, I'm glad that one was rejected. mdn82 1 Quote
Dalton26 Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 As a phillies fan I don't want Baez or Castro. Especially with JP Crawford waiting in the minors. mdn82 1 Quote

Bird I'm not sure about, he can hit but he's got an injury history and he's 1B/DH type. Quote

I'm iffy on Bird I've only seen a little of him and he reminded me of a lesser Jim Thome.(I've seen very little of him though so I could be wrong) Quote

I'd personally be a little a more resistant to deal Refsnyder than Bird, and Refsnyder needs to work on his defense at 2B; granted, that could be me wanting to never ever ever ever see Stephen Drew or Brendan Ryan step to the plate ever again. Since we're not winning this year, (I hate to say it) but just sign Price in the offseason if we want him. Or maybe get a Jordan Zimmerman without having to give anybody up. mdn82 and Hovadipo 2 Quote
HoosierRob Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 The phillies are so bad that they are banking on a Hamels trade to restock they're farm and team Quote
