Hollowell & Etherington transferring..

Recommended Posts

a mark of a top-notch organization is the ability to retain its members

institutions of higher education should be able to retain their students, faculty and staff

the retention of student-athletes is of the utmost important to me and seeing so many start the season on this roster and finish the academic calendar not on roster is the last straw

I will be sending hand-written letters to Glass every week till Crean is no longer coaching this program

He felt that it wasn't right that other players jumped over him while he was injured. He left to find a place where he could get the playing time he felt he deserved.
This is correct! And they wanted him to move on

Jeremy lost his focus and got sat down for 3 or 4 games. Hanner got arrested and only suspended 2. Someone tell me how that adds up?
And Troy and Stan failed drug tests and started the next game! Go figure that one... Speaks volumes of the exodus

Sorry for being pushy the first time you came around. Sounds like what you say is correct (with another source saying the same things you are). I will just leave it at that. Just wish it was untrue.

Yes exactly to outsiders and recruits it makes it seem like a program of instability. 6 transfers in 2 years doesn't look good no matter what the caliber of the players was.

Honest question, isn't there a mandatory suspension for a failed test?  Seems a bit weak to call it fact based on two guys posting on a forum.

I'm under the impression that how these are handled is largely up to the University. Nothing more than this, but it has been sourced beyond two posters on this forum.

There should be but who knows. I think the guy saying it has earned some credit based on his damn near perfect prediction of what just happened today.

I won't speak for the other source, but I will say I have no reason not to believe him. Plus, everything basketball4u has said has come true, well before any of this happened. This isn't just based on internet posters, HoosierReb can vouch for the source who has confirmed basketball4u's posts.

Sorry for originally doubting you. Your information has proven itself.

Do you know if Glass or anyone higher up knows about the failed drug tests and the lack of internal response?

This is true, it it up to the University.

"At Indiana, counseling is mandatory for an initial positive drug test for marijuana or another banned drug. A second violation results in a suspension of varying games — one game for football players and three games for men's and women's basketball players."

Yeah, I can say the same.  We as mods tracked it just to keep tabs on it.  100% accurate.  Unfortunately considering some of the things involved.  I lost a lot of respect for Crean today as a man.  That was one reason I held out hope for him as the coach.  I hope he gets his priorities in order.  More important than his coaching at this point.

It sucks.  No way around it.  Completely disappointed as a fan and alum.  I am not naive and know what happens with the players in most situations.  After all he has said, I am sure he has lost a lot of support within the University.  Not even talking about boosters.  Knight proved you can't piss off the administration.  Crean is no Knight.

Interesting to see how the boosters feel now after what happened today

No problem..I have no information on what Glass knows at the moment. But I do know they day the tests came back. It was huge hush hush and everyone was asked to leave. It was thought to be this big turning point with some changes and instead they started the Penn State game. When I tried to say something early in the year some asked me to remove it from my twitter.
I obliged .. I am not trying to make waves but the truth makes the picture a little clearer. Jeremy was out 2 games for 2 failed tests and that was "motivation" ... Clearly not the motivation he needed.

Well you were right. I've got no reason to doubt you now. Your original posts seemed completely off the wall which is why I think myself and others thought it was BS. Looks like I was wrong.
