Hollowell & Etherington transferring..

Recommended Posts

Wow. Crean is really getting on my nerves lately. And in all fairness, Mo had been injured and the guys around him were healthier and had more playing time. I'm not sure what he "proved" other than a stellar half of a Freshman season. But if Crean made him feel unwanted that's BS as well. Crean needs to hold a presser...like now

Yeah, I do think Creek was legitimately passed up. Other players were better. Still, something failed here. I think we all admired Creek's desire to work to bounce back from the injuries time after time. It's sad to think that he felt unwanted. Really, though, I don't know if Crean could have done more there or not. It's just a data point in the trend of players leaving the program.

Sounds to me like Mo thought he had earned it from days past. CTC didn't think he earned it during practice or on the court his last yr. MANY on here and other places thought Mo was a shell of himself running around on a gimpy leg. Mo had been hurt for most of his IU career, showing little possibility of fully recovering and being the player he once was. It was a decision that had to be made one way or the other. Glad he got to play at GW and further his academics.

Well I'm betting that not feeling wanted stems from deservedly not getting much playing time. I don't think he was pushed out the door, just saw himself being passed over. A coach isn't going to put a kid out there who can't perform as well as others no matter how much he likes the kid.

So our options that have been named are Anthony Lee, Yante Maten, Josh Cunningham, and potentially the VT transfer Trevor Thompson (although he sounds like a project). This is crazy, but Myles Turner of the 2014 class is still undecided. He's a 7'0" center with crazy skill. There must be some reason, but I'm surprised we haven't even heard of Crean trying to break into his recruitment. Can anyone shed any light on what our realistic shopping cart may look like?

Not Turner. He dropped us a long time ago. Rumors are that he is waiting to hear whether Joel Embiid goes pro or not. If Embiid goes, Turner will go to KU. If Embiid stays, Turner will go somewhere else.

Eron Harris, who has been mentioned by a couple of guys wouldn't be bad to look at him, though he wouldn't be eligible to play next season. I think he was a true sophomore this year, which means he could use his red-shirt in the year he would have to sit out, then have two years of eligibility here.

I've heard the exact same things that you said. I don't have direct knowledge so I can't say for sure but that's definitely what I heard too.

I say nothing negative about players or coaches, unless I know it for a fact (even then, I don't usually participate in the negativity) in that I won't contribute to that mindset. [/quote]

I can back this up I've heard the same things about remy from numerous people on campus.

I have spent a lot of time on the other site, hear a lot of stuff,(most I put down to gossip) just never heard that about Remy. I never knew anything aside from his transferring and his play when he got minutes.

This all sucks bc when these guys were coming in we were all wanting the best for them and wanting the program to be successful with both of these two. But to be extremely worried about the leadership is something I would stay away from. Last time I checked we have one of the best pg's in the country, and there's no doubt in my mind that dude is one hell of a leader. Not saying they'll be awesome and a national title contender, just saying yogi will do what needs to be done as far as leading and taking these incoming players under his wing. Thank you lord for Kevin "Yogi" Ferrell!

Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Yeah, the Remy thing is about as confirmed as confirmed can get. Of course, it does beg the question why he had to go when other players have apparently gotten away with breaking rules.

He was decent while he lasted. Can't say it will hurt the team very much. He came in as a shooting ace and never really started taking shots. Best of luck to him.

I thought the same.

That's just because they're not as cool as we are ;) No problem at all with questioning what you hear, otherwise, we'd be depressed constantly, lol

I was told I was too negative a few minutes ago, but it's tough not to be when all you hear is bad news concerning your favorite team. Passed over for the NIT, the rumors on Crean, now it is transfer time! Making me ill.

He cut us from his list last summer.
