There are 2-3 guys on here that seek out any positive comments so they can piss in that person's breakfast cereal of choice. Why is it that you have to post a negative comment to EVERY post that's NOT negative? You guys feel better about yourselves afterwards? Do you do this when youre not online or do you come on here because no one will stick around long enough to listen to your constant complaining?

You think people who try to find something positive to say don't see the negatives? Really?

Congrats, you guys have taken over the site... now there are around 10 posters.
Projection, people can find negativity in others but can't identify it within. It is very easy to criticize but much more difficult to identify a problem and come up with a realistic solution.

One could simply say say; fire the damn coach it's all his fault.

It is much more difficult to understand the coach isn't going anywhere and identify what you would like to see happen for the coach, team, and program to improve.

There are just as many posters who freak out and whine every time someone posts something negative.

You think people who don't always try to find something positive to say don't see any positives? Really?

Congrats, you guys bitching about what others post have taken over the site.

They're just as bad if not worse but think because they're positive towards Crean that their bitching is ok.

Come on guys.  Lets get this on topic.  This thread is about Troy Williams respect for Crean.  There are plenty of threads out there for every person's taste.  I have posted in all of them.  I feel it is respectful to keep this thread staying on course for its intended purpose.  Same as the fire Crean thread.  That thread can be about debating why Crean should stay or go.  I have not seen one thing saying something about things Troy improved on or did not throughout the course of the year.  That is what this should be about.  Not blanket statements about Crean.  Enough threads out there to post thoughts in.

If there is one thing Crean is good with it is wings.  Most of his wings improved their handle from year to year.  IF Troy works on his handle, he could be good.  IF he works on his handle and shot ala Vic, he could be really good.  Not sure he has that IT factor Vic had, but he could be a good one.

Thinking about Troy as a senior, provided he steadily trends upwards should be terrifying for B1G coaches. He has POY potential when you pair that athleticism with a jumper and developed IQ.

When he moved too fast that is when he got into trouble.  Vic was the same way as a freshman.  Crean doesn't do the best of slowing down the players.  That is a weakness with his guards I do not like.  It will take Troy in the gym doing the drills to slow the game down.  He will at the same time gain IQ.  Every player can improve by being in the gym, but you cannot teach that size and bounce.

I agree. He's probably my favorite player on the team so I may be bias but I think if he puts in the work he has the potential to be great. Hopefully he puts in the work which I believe he will.

Troy's going to be the best out of this class. So much potential, and he's started to really work hard on his game. He ended the season on an upward trend, and I'm looking forward to seeing him develop.

I hope so.  That kid has pro potential.  If one thing, Crean gets his wings to be better.  Outside of that, it is debatable.  If Troy trusts Crean, that is all the better.  He made wings who have trusted him better.

Back on topic:

Troy Williams is one of those special players in the making who will be a hugely popular Hoosier for the next few years.

CTC has routinely praised his ability AND his work ethic, and he seems to be an extremely popular teammate.

You guys want to instill a winning culture at IU?

Troy

Stan

Yogi

Others like them

And experience

I can see Troy being a leader on this team because he show passion and effort. My hope is others on the team will see Troys gains toward the end if the season. The encouragement from a solid core if Troy, Stan, and Yogi could impact the others over the summer.
