Shoot. I would have asked for an autograph!

I thought about asking for one, but then I saw a couple girls ask him for pictures and I felt bad for him that he couldn't even go to a bookstore in peace. I know he's compensated quite nicely for it, but the attention's gotta really suck sometimes.

My thought was that it doesn't appear that he is out with family so I wouldn't be interrupting family time.

Leave it to Hollywood casting Munchkin Cruise as Jack Reacher.

Don't get me wrong, he did a good job portraying the Reacher personality.  My only complaint is that Reacher is 6'5 and between 220 to 250 depending on where you're at in the story, Cruise at his best has no chance of convincingly pulling that off.

I would've preferred to see how a Leiv Schreiber or Hugh Jackman could've done, at least they can physically portray that kind of character.

John Cena?  Maybe not an Academy Award winning actor but has the physical attributes of Reacher.

Sidetracked a bit when an old English teacher of mine recommended Louis L'amour's "The Ferguson Rifle." It's a neat short story thriller set in the west before westward expansion.

Now, back on the Pike series with "Enemy of Mine." It should be a good one.

This weekend I finished Leah Remini's "Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology". It was an easy read and quite comical. The church of scientology interests me not from a potential parishioners standpoint but more as a bearded lady as a circus sideshow. Lol

I'm working on "Lost in Shangri-La" about a US plane that crashes over an untouched part of the New Guinea jungle during WWII. so far its pretty good.

I've read and re-read Louis L'amour's books. Working my way through them again. Even if you're not into westerns, many of his books are well worth the read.

I also really enjoy the Spenser series and Jesse Stone series by the late Robert B. Parker.  His estate authorized other authors to continue to use the Spenser and Stone characters but I don't feel those authors have done a particularly credible job with the characters.

Finished "The Widow's Strike" and "The Polaris Protocol" yesterday. I'm reading the short story "The Recruit" now. I haven't found a good list of what order the books should be read in.

Is anyone else excited that "Inferno" the movie will be coming out soon?

One of my nurses in the ICU convinced me to read Vince Flynn's Mitch Rapp series after I'm done with the spike Logan series. Anyone read that? Thoughts?

Also, recommend reading them in chronological order, not release date. American Assassin should be read first followed by Kill Shot, the rest fall in order.

Vince Flynn died a couple years ago and Kyle Mills has taken over for the last two books. He's done a great job.

Thanks for the advice. Hate that I've kind of bounced around with the short stories.
