If that's the true situation (and I have no reason to think that it is not), I have to question the value Thon would bring. There seems to be as much of a downside as there is upside at that point.

Nobody is worth selling out for a 1/2 season. If it's all on the up and up, let's grab him.

Kind of an odd NBA showcase thing going on though. He isn't 1 and done material on skill, it's only on upside which doesn't benefit as much as possible. Unless he plays a year and a half and I don't see that.
