A little IU/BoDeans history: saw the BoDeans in Btown on the roof of a parking garage in the 1980’s. The place was packed and the band was fire. When everyone started jumping at once the garage roof started to shake and dip A LOT! 

and they had to cancel the rest of the show and evacuate. That was really fun tho.

Very nice. Saw them open for U2 on The Joshua Tree tour. 3 band show with U2, Los Lobos and BoDeans. That was better than average. If you haven’t seen the story behind their breakup, it was really, really ugly.

Doug Sahm/The Sir Douglas Quintet is choice. Mendicino was big for them too though.

True, I forgot about Mendicino. Loved his Tex/Mex sound with the legendary Flacco Jimmenz on accordian

Does anybody else remember Sir Winston and The Commons? Local Indy band who put out a couple of 45's. Really good band.

Daughter #1 comes through again with music for Dad’s vacation. The Beths are a New Zealand indy band with 3 albums out, all of which turned out to be terrific listens.

Been listening to The Beths for about a year now. LOVE Expert in a Dying Field.

For all; IMO this music won't change your life, but it is so easy to enjoy. So if you're a grumpy old sh!t that thinks nothing from the past decade is to your liking, give it a go.
