I’d say we’ve hit our ceiling with Terri and I think it’s time to move on as unpopular that might be.

Idk.  Been a rough stretch.  She doesn’t seem like she’s having much fun lately.  Losing Z for this team is a killer but even with her we have too many deficiencies.   Reminds me of Crean’s tenure right now.  We are in that lull and I don’t know if she can snap us out of it.

I think she has had enough time to prove it. This just seems like total mismanagement of player evaluation yet again and also getting behind the 8 ball on NIL is enough for me.

Instability….Is there any thought of T. Moren becoming the full time Ladies USA Team basketball coach.  (In a particular age group).

Whatever it was….T. Moren was experienced coach that methodically had some growth and success….and it always had fragility….but there are no excuses for the dive that the IU Ladies basketball program has taken.   Just not enough horsepower and questionable that the horses may or may not want to play for T. Moren. (talking the big horsepower horses at their respective positions).

I'd like to think a coach who's won 20 or more games in 10 straight seasons can figure it out, but something definitely feels off. This roster doesn't look like a whole lot of thought was put into it. In a league this tough, you simply can't have 3 straight years of poor recruiting and think it won't matter.

Also, I can't shake the feeling the NIL era might be big trouble for this program. I mean, we let Maryland outbid us for a player who'd been here for 3 years and played for some of our best teams.

Geesh. Society is impatient. Let's just throw the best coach in program history overboard after she has made the necessary adjustments and a few bad games.

It's true, this program was headed into the dumpster if things had continued how they were. However, Moren had a come-to-Jesus moment last year and has adjusted with better NIL and recruiting much better now. She just replaced her failing recruiting coach with a top-notch one, and it shows.

Caffey and Makalusky are future studs, but being asked to do way too much as frosh. For the first time since Yarden, you can clearly envision this pair as high-end starters down the road. Next year's recruits are even higher in the rankings. Oh, and they just had their first top-20 player visit recently.

The new recruiting coach is doing exactly what he was supposed to do, and if everyone is patient, things will improve drastically over the next couple of seasons.

This season is going to be rough, much like Moren's first one with 4-5 conference wins. However, as reboot part 2 goes on, things should get back to winning quickly, just as happened after her first season with the program.

We are temporarily paying for Moren's lack of adjustment to the modern game and recruiting. We can absolutely blame her for being slow on the uptake that temporarily has the team in this position, but to her credit, she realized she was driving the program off the tracks.

Now that things appear headed in the right direction again, let's give this a yr and I think everyone will be happy with the product. Outside of Shay, everyone is an underclassman with tons of potential but raw. As they mature and even better recruits come in, this will look much better.

Just going to have to be patient and accept this is going to be a really rough year, and the program is paying for the recent past, which can't be changed. However, a brighter tomorrow should be ahead down the road with the changes made.

Who do you have in mind? Everyone suspected this would be a down year, due to transfers, lack of big time recruiting, and apparent bad luck. And it's turning out to be that bad.

It would be nice to get an occasional "sleeper", but that doesn't seem to be happening with Noyan, Stotjin, Kiaku, and Ondineme. Can't someone step up, and surprise us . . . in a good way? The path is wide open for Nyemchek, Battle, Jackson, et al.

We were not 'outbid' for Yarden. She wanted to be on a winning team in her final year, and it looks to be a sound decision given the rebuild IU is undertaking.

See above. Moren absolutely deserves blame for program being where it is at. However, NIL is much better now and you can't change the past. We are temporarily paying for her being to slow to adjust but has now.

Things should dramatically improve now, but it will take patience and an understanding that this is going to be rough this season. Moren dug us into this hole and deserves to be ridiculed for getting us here, but is on way to digging us back out now.

Yeah, I don’t know what the disconnect is, maybe she lost her fire or whatever it is I doubt we go very far up from here if at all.

Some good coaches aren’t the best evaluators etc…She hit her stride and lost it big time.

You’re right in that this roster looks like an afterthought when she had a couple key pieces to work with  in Shay and Z and the fall off is big after that.
Also, seems like the players that left last season are thriving more so than when they were here which is also concerning.

I get it, but this just looks like bad basketball in the sets and plays we are running.

Execution, mistakes, movement, flow all look off.
No post presence is obvious, but she didn’t recruit anyone past Z (who was injury prone last year at UCLA.)

Tonight Minn had 18 offensive boards to our 2 — two. They then took 71 shots to our 39. Yes, we’re hugely missing Soka and are starting two frosh, who are skilled but still getting their B1G legs under them and our bench is short. Of course you’re going to get crushed getting blitzed on the boards like that in this one game.

Next year’s class is outstanding. Just crazy to ignore present circumstances and start questioning Moren. Nuts. We should be really good next season, and I’d bet on Moren turning things around a but especially if we get Soka back sooner than expected. Really sucks that she’s out

I would share some of your enthusiasm if this years team at least looked good in losses but my realistic side says otherwise.
There is Something missing in this program that a few nice freshmen can’t fix imo.

Yes, losing Z hurt a lot, but not a team killer because there wasn’t enough to begin with.

Until a couple years ago that sounds exactly like a whole lot of IU football tradition talk.

Yes, let things play out for T.Moren and Ladies players and basketball program and deservedly see where it goes over the next five years.

This year’s team is in rebuilding mode after the mass exodus and Moren’s and the new recruiting assistant’s recruiting bigger more athletic players. We have a top 10 incoming class and it’s not just 2. If we keep most of our current players and add that class we’ll be very good. Moren’s a very well proven excellent coach. You should have more enthusiasm but you’re really negative on Moren. That’s your call but imo you’re ignoring a lot to be so down
