An undefeated team vs a quality opponent but the students will be gone so no idea what kind of crowd to expect.  Hopefully it's a good one and it is rockin'.

It's definitely not an exact science, but eyeballing the ticket map I think we'll have a pretty good crowd -- something like 15.5-16K, balconies half full type of thing, which isn't too bad.  I'd guess people aren't working much this week making this an easier game to attend, which helps offset no students.

I think the crowd will be looking for any reason to get into it, so if we play hard/smart and shoot reasonably well it should be a lively atmosphere.  This will be the first more intense AH home crowd for all our news guys, and hopefully it's rocket fuel for them and not nerves.

I'll also be Captain Obvious and note this is an important game.  Key for our resume, but also it takes time to win back the our more casual fans who are wondering if the CDD era is different.  Playing well and putting on a show here would be another key step in the right direction...

I think to feel good about the tourney I would want to win 1/3 of our three major noncons left. If we lose this one we have to win one of Lville and UK. Watching them both I think it’s definitely doable but it ups the difficulty level taking one of those two. Winning tomorrow and then getting one of those other two would put us in fantastic shape for conference.

Hey - remember when IUFB has four really tough games on their schedule; at PSU, Iowa, and Oregon, and home against Illinois, and we were hoping they'd win two or three of them?

Well IUBB has four relatively tough non-congerence games on their schedule and we're one for one. What say we just keep winning and winning?

This one is stacking up to be a lot better resume builder than anticipated.  Can't wait to watch this one leading into a nice holiday break from the dental grind.  I hope despite the Thanksgiving break we can get a good enough crowd to make an impact.  This one is big.

Ya know, they make mouth guards for that sorta thing. Then again, you would know better than I.

Gotta contain haggerty and bashir without getting in foul trouble. A lot easier said than done but very do-able. This feels like the annual “big” win IUBB gets at home early every year.

Haggerty,  I believe, is the top scorer in the nation, and as a team KSU scores in the 90s and efficiently, with their lowest score being I think 84 and averaging 93 ppg - a high output 3-point shooting team.

This is going to be tough, tough game and should be a battle of high scoring offenses. Wish it wasn't immediately before the Thanksgiving break, but regardless our guys are going to have to come back scoring and playing with ball movement, energy, and accuracy the way they were playing before the last two games, and slowing Haggerty down while avoiding foul trouble will be a key.

Line opens at IU -7.5.  That’s on BetOnline, nothing on FanDuel, DK, etc. yet.

Encouraging I suppose.

Update: As of Tuesday morning, most of the books are have IU -9.5.  Overall, bettors are more optimistic than our fanbase on this game.

Update: As of mid-Tuesday morning, the line has moved to -10.5.  Yeesh!

Yeah and I saw somewhere a total point prediction of 157, though that site had IU a 8.5 favorite. I think it's going to be a lot closer, but hope that line holds

Doubtful.  Students are gone.  I see a quiet crowd and a loss.

I doubt the crowd is quiet. It’s the first game of the mini series. That packs usually doesn’t have a decent non conference game, but when it does the crowd is usually pretty good.

Loudest AH game I’ve ever been to was a mini series game.

As much as we may wish otherwise I don’t think you or I get any say in it, nor am I arguing we should lose any of those.

But much like the football analysis (we could’ve lost Oregon and maybe another and made the playoffs), we can split our 4 P5 non con games, go .500 in league play, and likely make the tournament. Winning this game gets us to that benchmark before Dec. which would be nice.
