Love the pickup and from what I have saw, this kids game. Long, lanky 6'7/8" wing that also appears to play the passing lanes well and he can shoot. Welcome young man! Excited to have you! Now let's go out and get us a big for this class J34 1 Quote
Stuhoo Posted January 29 Posted January 29 Worth noting; Manhertz is a highly ranked recruit because he has such a high ceiling. He is also raw, young, and needs to add 15-25 pounds to compete as a P4 rotation player. EIther him or Karvala could be red-shirt candidates, could be back of the bench kids that are transitioned in as the season evolves, or could surprise and be more college ready than expected. Manhertz and Karvala are not likely to be anywhere near as capable of being rotation players next year as the returnees with a similar profile; Sisley, Dorn, and Miles. Now Prince Moody-Alexander? He has much, much better chance to be a college-ready body and skill set right from the get go. And that's important because we will need ready to play guards next year. Class of '66 Old Fart Posted February 7 Posted February 7 Quite a ball game between Christ School and LI Lutheran. LuHi controlled the game for 3 quarters and held a 54-39 lead entering the 4th. Christ School got it down to within 2 but couldn't pull it out losing 76-72. A huge part of the 4th Q comeback was 12 pts. scored by Manhertz. He finished with 21 total. Hopefully a full box score will be posted later this evening. Quote

He did find a way to get to the foul line and grabbed 7 reb. Played the entire 32 min.; only one for either team. J34 and 323SGrant 2 Quote

And he made I believe 5 3’s last night, though he also aired out 2. But right now that’s what he’s got because the rest of his game is a ways away from helping. Side note: The HC of the St James School is none other than Book Richardson, who fell on the grenade for Sean Miller at Arizona back in the day. Class of '66 Old Fart Posted Sunday at 12:32 AM Posted Sunday at 12:32 AM Christ School beaten 83-74 by La Lumiere. Manhertz 32p on 10-18 FG, 6-12 on 3s, 8-14 FT. He played the entire 32 minutes and drew 8 fouls. Last night, Christ School lost 77-63 to St. James. Manhertz 19p on 5-14 FG, 5-11 on 3s, 2-4 FT. Both games Christ School got down double digits in the 1st Q and spent the rest of the night trying to claw its way back. Don't know what the final number was tonight but during the 3rd Q, the announcer mentioned that La Lu was hitting 60% of its 3s for the game. Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted Sunday at 12:51 AM Posted Sunday at 12:51 AM Here's the official box score for tonight's game so you can compare it to what I posted above. Couple of side comments on La Lu players. Jonathan Sanderson and Gabe Weiss both had offers from Woody. Jacob Webber will be the next player you hate who will be lighting it up long range for PUke.
