How do these requests work? Thinking about putting it in for the Louisville game. I’m pretty low on the priority points list so don’t imagine it’ll go through but is there a specific part of the arena these tickets are in?

All that I've seen regarding the Louisville game is that ticket prices range from $49-$349 and there is no information about specific price points in between or about locations of tickets in each price point. My ticket request form only lists Tier 1 (presumably the $349 seats) as a price point for my request.  So, I guess that seats/price points will be assigned based on what remains available as they go down the list of requester based on priority point standing.  Doesn't look like requesting a lower price point is an option and that seems odd to me. But, with the priority deadline being September 1st I doubt that any more information is forthcoming.

I requested 4 tickets for a friend and there has not been any communication regarding whether my request will be fulfilled or denied. That's par for the course with off site events and typically even when informed that request can be fulfilled there is no indication about what price point the seats will be at. It's a bit of a grab bag unfortunately.

Ticket office transparency leaves a lot to be desired at Indiana. It’s a maddening system no matter what I’m doing through there, unless I’m actually on the phone with someone. The staff is usually superb in my experience.

Agree - person to person yields more info.

I went on Ticketmaster and found a seat in the 200 level that seemed reasonable enough to book. Didn't get an alert, it's a resale. I was curious how there are resale tickets when they haven't been distributed yet to my knowledge. I learned it's a common practice called "speculative listing."  The ticket I bought has a guaranteed section and row, but there's a small range of seat numbers it could end up being.

In all seriousness Ticketmaster needs to get slammed in a big suit (and I would love to be counsel). The scamming and allowance of bulk bot purchasing of concert tickets, absurd pricing etc and speculative listings is ridiculous. Glad you got the tickrys, but Ticketmaster is decidedly on my legal hit list

I agree, it's a pretty absurd practice IMO. I just had an itchy trigger finger and was tired of waiting. First big game of the new era. 75 days. Gonna fly by between the exhibitions and IUFB starting this weekend.

I actually just got an email today from IU about my ticket request/order. Got three. So I am going too.

For anyone that was wondering, I got my confirmation of tickets for Marquette about an hour ago in my email. Got lower bowl tickets at $100 apiece. Billing on September 2, so I’m assuming one could decide against taking them if they want to.

The charge showed up on my credit card this morning. I have a feeling I’ll be waiting until late Oct/early Nov to see where my seats are.

Count on it! Very frustrating but consistent.

I got excited because my order for the Marquette game finally showed in my IU account, but no surprise I haven't been assigned seats yet. In my original email it said "lower corner" so I'm assuming they'll be decent, I'm just impatient.
