This may be an awful comparison so forgive me, but from what I've seen from Sisley, he reminds me in a way of Karaban from UConn. Not saying they are at all the same player, just the way they play. We all will do backflips if Sisley is as good as Karaban has been.

As for Reed Bailey, assuming Bama and UK wanted him, I assume he may play a similar role that Grant Nelson (Bama) or Andrew Carr (UK) did this year.

For Tucker, someone said this on here earlier and I agree, it seems like Tucker is a 3 on offense and a 4 on defense.

They don't really distinguish this stuff, though. It really doesn't matter.

Small 6'3 190

Harris 6'4 180

DeVries 6'7 220

Okani 6'8 210

Hansberry 6'8 240

Was his starters at WVU

Okani and Hansberry totaled 41 mpg.  They weren’t on the floor together much.

So if we get Bailey and Pack we would have this:

PG: Pack, Enright

SG:

SF: DeVries/Sisley

PF: Goode (see no way he doesn’t get another year. When a game is played doesn’t matter in football so it won’t hold up in basketball)

C: Bailey

Need to focus in on some athletic multi level threats at SG. Then get some depth. Get a couple more freshmen as well.

If Goode comes back I would think he would come off the bench. I also think Devries will be the 4

So.. Okani was the 3?

I don’t think he is building what he had at West Virginia. Going and getting Bailey who is a Center/5, means we have a guy at the 5 who will be able to stretch the floor. His son will play some 3 and the 4, will stretch the floor. From the rumors I think 1-5 will all be able to stretch the floor offensively. He didn’t have that at WV.

Bailey shot 1.2 3s per game last season. He isn't a stretch anything, skilled though.

He did have that at WVU, if his roster had been healthy.

Okani shot 2 3s per game, so double Bailey... and Stone would have shot significantly more than Harris.

Okani type pairs with DeVries... it just doesn't matter what position we call them.

Giving players a designation 1-5 doesn’t dictate skillset. But it makes for clarification when discussing rosters. It’s why many of us use 1-5 or PG, SG,SF, PF, C. Doesn’t mean players can’t step out and shoot it or be excellent drivers of the ball etc.

Two? TWO?? That's not even half a lineup.

You know what would be 50% better? Now there are THREE!

  1. Trent Sisley, Fr. -- F
  2. Tucker Devries, Sr. -- F
  3. Conor Enright, Sr. -- G

FORE!!

oh, wait… FOUR!!

  1. Trent Sisley, Fr. -- F
  2. Tucker Devries, Sr. -- F
  3. Conor Enright, Sr. -- G
  4. Reed Bailey, Sr. — F

Once we get to 10, @Stuhoo will have to take off a shoe in order to count to 11, 12 & 13.

If i may add my spin? The mismatch game is predicated from those designations when determining game plans. Bailey for instance is historically horrific defensively against other C(5) but he accounted for 24+ppg out of the spot and probably consistently had the opposing 5 in foul trouble.

I dunno man, maybe it’s just me, but a few days ago we had a lot of people panicking on whether DeVries could recruit and whether we can field a semi competitive team.

Between Tucker DeVries, Reed Bailey, and, if rumors are true, Lamar Wilkerson, that’s A LOT of scoring right there.

three guys who’ve essentially averaged 20 PPG at one point in their careers.

You’re really only looking for supplemental pieces at that point, I think we could use an athletic 4/5 hybrid with decent size who can help us on defense, and I don’t think you can ever have enough shooters.

Really, really tired of the Woodson/Archie days of constantly not having any floor spacing and watching opposing defenses just pack the paint on us. Would love Goode back if possible solely for that reason.

Your assuming @Stuhoo has all of his fingers...and toes!  And can someone explain the new NCAA allowable roster and scolarship limits?  The more I read, the more confusing it gets.  Is the scholarship limit still 13 with a roster limit of 18.  Or is it now scholarship and roster limit of 15?

Scholarship and roster limit of 15.

Rabjohns has said something about it decreasing the amount of rev share if over 13 but hasn't explained that and I haven't seen it anywhere else.

Also, I don't think this is set in stone yet. It might be dependent on the House settlement being approved. The final day of the hearing is today. I don't think a judgement will be made on that today, though. Probably weeks or months before it becomes final.

Edit: I think Rabjohns is confused. I looked more and still haven't seen anything like what he suggests. I think he might be confusing opting in or out of the House settlement. If a school opts in on the settlement (which IU will), the basketball scholarship and roster cap will be 15 and they can give revenue share to the athletes. If a school opts out, the scholarship cap remains 13 and I'm guessing the roster size remains the same too and, of course, they can't share revenue.
