This season is lost regardless.  I think it's good for Dolson to dump him mid-season if nothing more than to show he's in charge and not QB.  And so what if the assistant does do well.  I certainly wouldn't feel Dolson had an obligation to name that person as head coach.  And if the assistant would do well, it makes Dolson look all the better for having dumped Woody mid-season.

I was trying to rationalize why Dolson is not doing what you say now.

Actually, I agree with you.

So, obviously...Dolson has his reasons for not doing just that.  Unless, hopefully, they are renegotiating the buyout as we are sitting here.

What fans want has very little to do with where we are with a new HC search...and the current coach's status.  Unless you have lots of cash to help.  

As a fan...I say negotiate a buyout now.  And dump him.  But make clear that whoever is the acting is not guaranteed anything.  Provided, however, that you have a guaranteed...experienced...exceptional college basketball coach that feelers all but signed a new contract for after the end of both teams' games this season.

 

Wisky was put in that situation about 20 years ago in Basketball.  And the interim coach did very well.  Wisky didn’t blink an eye and hired a different coach and he was successful long term as well.  
I am not in favor of interim coach unless something makes it mandatory….which is not out of the realm of possibility.

Pretty sure woodsons here the whole season. Quinn said he gets four years so that he will get.

Did you watch the last 2 games? Especially the last one? Now go look at the remaining schedule. What does your gut tell? If he survives and things don't get alot better from a winner loss standpoint our games may get a nc 17 rating or for mature audiences warning

Lol he may not have wanted to and they tried like he'll to buy a team to cover for him but it has failed massive. I think some posters predictions of our worst case scenario record would be q miracle at this point. I felt a while ago he wouldn't make it based off how poor the team was playing but I underestimated how truly bad we could play. This is worst case scenario and it is unimaginable what him finishing the season looks like at this point. The purdue game? The michigan game? Those have the makings a true nightmare. I wouldn't want to be woodson and I fear if a interim assistant takes over they may even catch he'll at those games. I can't tell if your just saying these things hoping he goes or if you truly believe he is automatically getting 4 years? We will see what happens tonight. If we win a couple games here in a row I will start to entertain the Possibility
