Not bad for just 2 seasons.  Too bad we'll probably never see him in Bloomington except maybe on the visitor's bench.

Jaxson Davis, Warren, 6-1, G. So.

Two-time All-Area selection. Led Blue Devils to their second consecutive Proviso West Holiday Tournament title and repeated as MVP. Already scored more than 1,000 points. Averaged 20 points, 6 assists, 4 rebounds and 3 steals.

Davis and Warren Twp. lost the Illinois 4A championship to Benet Academy 55-54.  Davis did all he could but it wasn't enough with 17p;  7r;  8a;  4s.

For 34 games, his scoring average was 20.4 ppg.

The last Jackson Davis we had was pretty good. What's that? Oh, it's Jaxson? Sounds the same, which is good enough for me.

I wonder if the new staff will recruit him.

Davis was offered by the previous coaching staff who shall remain nameless.  DDV and staff have watched him but no indication they will re-offer.  He's MaxPreps #1 player in Illinois and this is a nice story about him.

Appears unlikely DDV and staff have any interest in Davis but he's having quite a season.  Yesterday he poured in 51 pts. in an 88-54 win in the championship game of the Big Dipper Holiday Tournament. Davis was 14-for-21 shooting and 7 of 9 from three. He also had eight rebounds, four assists and four steals.  Team is 10-1 and he's averaging 26 ppg.

Davis was offered by Woody and I've never seen anything that suggested DDV re-offered yet whenever Davis' name is mentioned, we appear listed among his offers.  Question asked yesterday on 247 and the response was he was not an IU target.
