Class of '66 Old Fart

IUBB vs SIEU - Wednesday, 11.06.24 @ 8:00 on BTN

Recommended Posts

My big takeaway is the Rice/Carlyle combo on defense is refreshing. They both really seem to enjoy defending and it is going to be a strength. Our back court is really going to give teams fits I think. Offensively it looks pretty much the same as it ever was under Woody with a little more dribble drive from Rice. MM looks better on defense too IMO. On to the next one.

Unless Carlyle, Rice, Goode can prove to be serviceable 3 point shooters our ceiling is limited.

I don’t think coach wants to shoot them. Therefore the shots they take are usually not great looks

It’s almost funny, and only a half, but Bank's goes to Tulane and hits 4-6 from three in his first game and Goode (a 39% career three point shooter) looks like a lost freshman. The three point curse of the Hall.

I think it's the 3pt curse of Archie Woodson.

Galloway with nine assists in kinda limited minutes.

I hope we give Goode time to get his shot falling, but when it's not falling, Gallo should be getting more of his run. Him, Rice and Carlyle need a lot of time PT.

Rice, Carlyle, Tucker, Goode were a combined 4-19 from the field (1-8 from the three). Hopefully this isn’t another year of playing the “where’s the perimeter shooting” broken record.

MM, however, was a wonderful 13/17 (4/5 from the three).
