Lander didn't pass the eye test immediately and nobody was ever saying he was going to be great or even good. Most people were saying he was way overrated if nothing else. And most of this stuff is hard to take seriously. These types of takes are very lazy and semi insulting.

100% insulting, outside of their thoughts on Cignetti, which was still said with a grain of salt.. the whole thing was an insult.

What are these two's credentials? What have they accomplished?

And actually--- where do these two get off talking **** about a HS student? Whatever I guess.

I turned the game on right after interview they did with Lewis before the game. I didn't hear his comments but to me it sounded like  the announcers it was still going to be USC

He was asked where his recruitment was at this point. He said he's still committed to USC.

But TBH -- I wouldn't have expected him to say anything different.

Not sure it means a whole lot.

Ok, thanks I was watching the Reds and just flipped it to the football game when the interview just ended. I assume he didn't talk about that there schools then

If he were to say anything else other than USC, then that would definitely mean he is moving on to another school. He’s not ready to make that public announcement yet, so IMO he is just staying the course until he’s ready. When he says “for now” that is very telling anyway you look at it. Honestly, nothing new or news worthy.

I had said the interviewer asked where his commitment was for now and he said he was sticking with USC.

You said the interviewer asked where his commitment was and he said he was sticking with USC for now.

Thank you for clarifying my egregious error, and may God have mercy on my soul.

I mean, it’s a pretty big difference in context.

I have to wonder what Julian thinks of the first two games USC, IU and Colorado have played so far.....

I know we haven't played anyone yet, but the offense and defense has been much more impressive so far than years past. Again, I know it's hard to tell with who we've played so far, but I like what I've seen so far.

He cannot be appreciating that Shadeur Sanders is close to getting decapitated as Colorado's QB.

Though IU has looked good, he cannot be appreciating that IU has looked good in a half-empty home stadium.

So far this year USC has been all that and a bag o chips. If NIL is relatively equal and he wants to be on the west coast.....?

If he has half a brain, the nail has been put in Colorado's coffin. I won't be mad if he sticks with SC, that offense is humming. If he chooses Colorado I'll be sure to not wish him well.

If Julian comes to IU, the stands will definitely be more full, specifically to be able to watch him play. Again, IF he comes, it will most likely be because of Sunseri, and what he has seen from the new IU. JMO

USC is kinda QB U. Not to downplay Sunseri's connection, but USC has incredible QB coaching with proven NFL results.

The big selling point for IU may be the chance to immediately be the unquestioned starter. Not thinking that's in the cards at USC.

I think once we beat UCLA, they'll start packing the place. After the Charlotte beatdown, all of the home B1G games should be rowdy full houses. It's nice that the talking point is the crappy crowd vs the good football team and not the other way around like it was in 2021 and 2022. We can't forget the Cincinnati crowd, almost selling out a Friday night vs. Idaho, last year's opener vs OSU, etc.

USC isn't QB U. Lincoln Riley is the QB coach. USC QBs just happened to get hyped like crazy because they are at USC. Before Caleb Williams, USC hadnt had a QB drafted since Sam Darnold at #3 in 2018. 2016 Cody Kessler was drafted in the 3rd. Matt Barkley was a dud before that in 2013 after being hyped up in college. Mark Sanchez was drafted 5th in 2009 and has probably been the best QB out of USC since Palmer. And between Palmer and Sanchez was John David Booty in 2008, Matt Leinart in 2006, Matt Cassell in 2005. Soooo... Definitely not QB U. More like QB Poo.
