2024 NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament

Recommended Posts

I’ll be honest, at first I groaned when I saw our draw but today I’m actually liking it. We are a team no 1-seed wants to see. The team that has three point shooters and can get hot for one game and put you on your heels out of the gate and you just never recover. And you’re going to have to beat a “South Carolina” at some point in the tourney, might as well be earlier than later. Less pressure than seeing them for a date to the final four. Nobody will expect is to win that game. Let it loose and fire away from distance at will. I think we will play better as a four seed with nobody talking about us than we did as a one seed last year. This team reminds me of the 2002 men’s team a bit (weren’t they a 5 seed?). Get hot and all the sudden you ride that momentum into the final four. We shall see. That’s why they play the games.

I like the way this man thinks.

Silly question probably but here it goes.

My wife and I have season tickets for the women's team.

Are those seats not offered for the NCAA tournament?

I’m a women’s season ticket holder.  Couple of weeks ago, I received an email to request ncaa tickets should AH host first round. I requested the number of seats I wanted and asked if possible to be close to my regular season seats.  I got confirmation of my ncaa seats and they are in my same section but 5 rows up. I’m fine with my seats.
I would highly recommend you call the ticket office and find out what seats they could give you, asap.  Good luck and go Hoosiers.

Haven't we suffered enough of CC, now she gets her very own reporter? ESPN is trash!

"This is Holly Rowe courtside. Caitlin has *missed* seven 30 foot shots (!) during this 1/8 matchup!! AMAZING 30 FOOT *missed* SHOTS!! What a humanitarian!! Stay tuned for more updates."

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

image.jpeg"This is Holly Rowe courtside."

It's the second quarter and Iowa is down five to Kansas State. We have grave concerns about Caitlin Clark's health! It appears that her fingertips were viciously fouled by a Kansas Sate player's eyeballs on the last possession. PRAY FOR CAITLIN!"

We are a nation, nay a world in mourning. Caitlin Clark has lost the game. The Kansas State team is inconsolable. They are NOT celebrating. They are sad.

Caitlin, as expected, left the court in an extremely magnanimous fashion. Iowa forward Gabby Marshall was about to (attack?) the Kansas State team with her hand extended. Caitlin saved the KState squad from certain disaster by berating Marshall and shoving her into a pile of folding chairs, and did so in a loving, innovative way.

Now Caitlin is raising her arms to the heavens and screaming "I am Veruca Salt! All I've got at home is one pony and two dogs and four cats and six bunny rabbits and two parakeets and three canaries and a green parrot and a turtle, and a silly old hamster! I WANT A SQUIRREL!!" Oh Caitlin, you little scamp!"

*Pray for Caitlin. And pray that she gets her squirrel*

Just bought tickets for Saturday. If you want tickets, call the ticket office, got much better seats than what the app was going to give me.

Per Seth Tow --

Early line: No. 4 seed Indiana women’s basketball is favored by 23.5 over No. 13 seed Fairfield on Saturday at Assembly Hall. Over/under 137.5.

That's a wild line.  I want our Hoosiers to crush them and hopefully they will but that line seems enormous.

Holmes will be less than 100%, and even if she's good she'll be on limited minutes.

Moreover, we could crush them and still not win by 23.5. And they are 31-1 with a 20 point win over a (bad) Rutgers B1G team.

That line is ridiculously too high.

I am not worried about Holmes ability to go based on Holmes' comments the other day but I do expect they will want to keep her to 25 minutes if they can.  They are not going to hold her back if the game is close.

I will believe a reasonable 100% when I see it for Holmes, Parrish, Lilly and whole team when I see it….both offensively and defensively.  (in all parts of game)….Feb 22 Iowa, Maryland, Tennessee, Princeton, Jan 4 Michigan, Nebraska, Purdue, Michigan State type performances for March Madness.

Me too. And if i DO see that?

Look out South Carolina; we will give them all they can handle.

If you're willing to share I'm curious what seats you were able to get vs what the app was going to give you?

I’m with you on this. I think Mack will be good to go and only rest for the sake of rest, not the injury.  Gotta think, this is her last collegiate games. She is going to want to play and give us everything she’s got. The injury isn’t a pain tolerance thing, she feels great. It’s always been a risk of the knee cap going out again thing. And we limited her and protected against that because we had more season left and would rather not risk missing her for the end. But now we don’t need to save her for anything. Obviously she’s got pro aspirations and nobody wants her to get injured. But if it goes out again, she’s got plenty of time to rehab it. Gotta take that chance now and leave it all out there.

The app was just offering General Admission (balcony), for some reason the app wouldn't use my card so I called and was able to get Section B Row 27 and 28.
