NCAA Women's Bball Transfer Portal

GCU overachieved big time last year, and their coach moved to Arizona State. Their NEW coach is an up and comer from South Carolina . . . so it should be exciting at GCU for Jules. She should have the PT to show what she can do.

Edessa  Noyan put IU Ladies on her transfer portal tour down the road from her recent visit to Purdue along with L.B.

Has T. Moren been talking to _P.J. Carlesimo /Seton Hall….known some 35 years ago for the overseas/foreign/International players flavor of Seton Hall and winning over number two seed Indiana Hoosiers leading to final four 1989.

Moren is clearly spending on a budget (a big part of it her own doing with NIL as I described earlier in thread many times) and hoping to make lemonade with lemons. Noyan is another player who is more athletic and had huge games, but not consistently.

Someone asked me if team will be good next year and I truthfully told them I have no idea. Given the athleticism and Moren's coaching, team could be better then last year or much worse and we won't know until they take the court. Socka, Noyan, Stotijn, and freshman all have potential to be elite or mediocre and until we see them play, team could literally be anywhere from 10-25 to 25-10.

Probably better off to not get our pre-season hopes too wildly high for next season and then be pleasantly surprised at the actual results.

Hard to replace Chloe, Syd, Strip, and now Garzon with one returning starter and some clearly highly talented transfers.

Time will tell !

I optimistically think they will be better. Already have substantially more size, strength, and athleticism. Now if they all can play together and form a unit.

We'll find out how good of a coach CTM is having to mold "strangers" into a cohesive unit.  Shay and Lenee the only returnees of note and Lenee missed all of last season with an injury.  I did read somewhere that it was a possibility that Lexi could withdraw from the portal.

I think moren is going to do better with a new cast. I think at times her loyalty to players hurt. I don’t think Lilly should have ever started over striplin. I think it would be good to get bargesser back, if not just for some familiarity, but such a liability offensively. At times teams don’t even send a defender. Chloe had some great days and as many “what are you doing” days on the offensive end. Parrish this season i assume just battled injuries and they took their toll, not near as effective as the last few years. Benched Garzon in the Illinois game because was just getting absolutely torched on defense and couldn’t hit anything. And had several games in row being invisible. It’s going to be interesting. Henna actually got a decent amount of minutes which I thought was questionable, but did have some plays. Julianna was not very good and probably performed better as a freshman.

Ti’Mia Scott apparently a name to follow

The question obviously is can she move to this level of competition. This is 100% T. Moren type player.  Several college  2022 offers from comparable schools like Middle Tennessee.  (hard worker outside practice, team player in high school while scoring).  Good looking assertive player, good student, and high character.
