The “compromise” by Dolson to let this go down this way saved us some good cash on the buyout. Lot of litigation today. Make no mistake about it, this was not Woody’s decision to retire.

Probably not but we kept a football coach for three years when we knew he couldn’t coach, so what’s three more months. And we knew Crean couldn’t coach and he still had plenty of support when he got booted.

Not sure that's true... as I recall (from a pretty reliable source) there was a leak to the Indy Star from another part of the AD that said Woodson was back... I'm sure Buckner had a hand in cutting Dolson off at the knees on that one.
