I’ve seen success when we were regularly on top of the mountain and know how glorious it felt. In 1987 I was on campus in Wright Quad lobby with my girlfriend watching the National Championship game.
When Keith Smart hit that shot to win it all was a euphoric memory that I will cherish for ever! Everyone flooded the exit doors screaming and yelling at the top of our lungs! We hit Showalter Fountain then onto Kirkwood for more pandemonium!

If you were there it was absolute paradise!!! I miss the love and admiration we all had for Indiana University. We were an absolute machine! Sorry, I just got caught up in that time warp!

I’m with you!  You sound old enough to remember the 1981 National Championship team too.  That was my senior year in high school, it was a 32 team field then and one of my classmates done a draw, which was $2 a pick.  He put all 32 teams in a cup and I drew IU and I said here is the winner, everyone laughed but I had the last laugh!  It was great and so was the 1976 team.  Great time for Hoosier basketball, it’s sucked the last 23 years.

But Braden Smith wasn't going to be very good this year without the Big Fella, at least according to some on here.

What would be golden is if Woodson is fired.
Waaaayyyyy too much posts about Todd Golden in this thread when the dude has yet to win a single tournament game and to date his best finish in a conference was fourth.  We are aiming higher than that.

Trying to set the record for thread posts maybe? How many ways can we say fire Coach Woodson.

Yes, I am…..I do remember the 1981 National Championship! I graduated in 1986, but I was in middle school in ‘81 and knew then when I graduated Martinsville HS, that IU was the ONLY college I would attend and proudly graduate from!

Yes, averaging 75.4 with your defense, which is something that he supposedly hangs his hat on, absolutely sucks and won’t win many games unless you have an efficient offense and we all know the answer to that

Yep people claimed they would not be any good without edey. Turns out painter is 10 times a better coach thanWoodson is.
