I don't know the answer to this personally but I'm guessing there was some us against the world type message going on. I do know they got big fat raises the day before so that shaped their speeches some. 

I usually see Leal in the summer and I plan to ask him about it. It seemed out of character for him to me.

Well if Gallo and Leal got their deals doubled I’d imagine they felt obligated. If someone told me my salary was jumping from 500k to 1mm (made up numbers) I would defend them too lol

Coaches can have great influence on a players way of thinking and how they view certain situations.

I’m sure you’re right, and there’s nothing cynical about it. But in Leal’s case, and this is old fashioned thinking and he’s thinking in terms of building his brand locally, if I had 1 year left in my career I’d be looking for somewhere to play 25 a night and fulfill my competitive Jones. If that means stepping down to the MAC or MVC, that’s what it means. But since he’s got about 20 IQ points on me I imagine he’s thought it through A to Z.

I don't disagree with any of this. My point wasn't that Dolson's relationship with Woody will keep him from doing what he feels is right, it's that Woody is almost certainly not some insubordinate turd that's dumping on Dolson and treating him like he allegedly does Teri Moren. That is message board nonsense. I'd put the farm on it.

I think the only way that Woodson doesn't get another year is if Dolson decides he has a very bad plan moving forward. That said Dolson has been growing frustrated with some of the stuff Woodson has been doing. That part isn't message board nonsense.

Yes. The NCAA has zero power to stop them. Even if they tried, the schools and states would lawyer up and sue the NCAA. Virginia and Tennessee already did. There is no governing body so it’s chaos. And there truly is no cap. So even though IU may have upped their NIL by 33%, the entirety across the board may have gone up 20%. So it’s not the increase everyone might think it is.

I had to see you there. We did happy hour free tacos every Friday from 4-6, then went home to nap and come back out around 10. There was a blonde waitress there who always worked happy hour and was beautiful.

I agree.  We have screwed it up the 20 years and counting, and we need to get it right this time or it could be another 20 years, which may not be in my lifetime.  The administration needs to quit interfering and let Dolson do his job; however, they probably won’t and we will continue down this dreadful path of mediocrity

I think Scott and Woody have an AD - Head Coach relationship. Don't know anything beyond what that usually entails. Maybe Scott admires Woody. Doubt Woody admires Scott. Just my opinion. 

I'm sure they can be cordial enough to have a BAU meeting.

If Scott truly "admires Woody", then we're all screwed. Woodson has done nothing in 40+ years anywhere on the planet to warrant "admiration". He just hasn't. And IMO, his 40 year removed playing career is becoming more and more tarnished every day, at least in my eyes.
