Hopefully our struggle against PSU was because we were anticipating this game.  We cannot afford to get off to a sluggish start and have to dig ourselves out of a hole.  And hopefully Chloe isn't slowed by any ankle problems.

Last year's game, they had us down 13-2 before we knew what hit us. My biggest concern is we start poorly and then it's Stanford all over again.

We played them twice last year.

The first time we beat them soundly in Btown, and 'the greatest basketball player ever' lost her composure and played like crap. 35 points? on 12-28 shooting with 8 turnovers. Mack had 24 and 6, Grace was by far the best player on the court with 26 on 10-20 shooting, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 1 TO. Sara Scalia had a lousy game both times. 

The second time we played them they won by one on a buzzer beater. Mack played well but she was on one leg by then.

We match up well with them, and we now have two well-suited defenders for Clark; Bargesser is a really athletic, buttoned up defender with length.

I like our chances; pretty certain this won't be a Stanford repeat.

Starting to see chatter that the game could be in jeopardy due to weather.  First is from an On3 correspondent and the second is from Matthew Byrne. 

It appears Indiana WBB is set to fly into CID tomorrow evening. However, my feeling is that if they don’t leave by the end of today, there will be no game on Saturday.

Team spokesperson told me that the airline was unable to accommodate a crew or plane for Indiana to get to Iowa Thursday night (tonight). The team is scheduled to fly out of Bloomington on Friday @ 2:30 PM ET

At the risk of sounding like the little boy who cried wolf, more concerned this morning about the game taking place.  Almost all of Iowa is under a blizzard warning and the eastern half of the state is where the weather service expects the greatest amount of snowfall.  Personally, I would not want to be on that airplane this afternoon.

Saw the same chatter. We should know before midday is my guess. No sense to have them even try to fly out if they anticipate a cancelation.

An Indiana spokesperson said IU is still planning to leave at 2:30 p.m. today, but they're monitoring the weather in Iowa. "We cannot control the weather and what it's going to do," Teri Moren said. "... But what we will not do is get in any aircraft if it's unsafe."

IU Ladies victory chances probably just got slimmer.  Before weather issues Iowa was favored by 9.

Wish they'd postpone the game as well. Wonder if they can push it to Sunday? 

To fly all the way to Iowa and play in the same day seems to be a pretty big ask. 

Although ... after Iowa's center fouled out and three other starters had four fouls last season at SSAH, Li'l Miss Thang (aka Caitlin Clark) had a convenient excuse for the loss. So, I guess we will have one as well in the event we come up short Saturday night (if that's when the game is played).

Ima going away for the weekend and won't have tv access Saturday night. 

So if the weather gods could postpone it until, say, Monday night? That'd be completely outstanding.

The sooner the better and schedule as make up game that works in schedule whether sooner or later so IU Ladies can focus on next game.  Being in transportation and when do get there limbo would be challenging to say the least.

Per an IU spokesperson, IU women's basketball is now set to fly to Cedar Rapids tomorrow at 10 a.m. from Bloomington. Timing was previously TBD when they postponed their flight this morning. #iuwbb
