4 years of eligibility, too, with a chance to play a fair amount of snaps this season.

I was a big fan of his coming out of New Pal - I wouldn't turn down the commit.

Unrelated, but I  am seeing Holloman is now in the poooorrtal.  Leaves CCC with 78 scholarships for next year and nine former scholarship players in the portal.

Broc Lowry is following Walt Bell to WMU.

With Kobee Minor entering today that leaves 8 former scholarship Hoosiers in the portal (Holloman, Boehler, Miller, Jeffries, Larkins, Casey, Minor, and Minor) with 8 scholarships remaining open for the Fall.

...definitely hate seeing players transferring out, especially one who hasn't even played in an official game yet.

IMO, I imagine these players aren't foreseeing the playing time or positions they are hoping for. Quite possibly, some of them may not like Coach Cignetti's approach, coaching philosophy or style. Who knows...?

I will say, it definitely means something when you have double digit transfers from JMU come to IU. They definitely didn't come to IU because it's IU Football.

I don’t remember if this came up around here, surely it did, but is there a story behind Cig bringing a million JMU kids into the program but not McCloud? Were there eligibility concerns?

I think eligibility was the issue. I could be wrong though.

If I had to guess, the JMU cluster has something to prove. We'll see how that transfers to Big Ten football, but personally, I'm extremely comfortable who's running IUFB.

There were heavy rumors that McCloud was going to go play Canadian football, I thought.
