Trent Sisley is an Outstanding Hoosier and (2025) SG - to UConn Thread

UConn went 4 deep today according to Rabjohns.   IU is in a recruiting battle with the back to back champs and hottest coach on the planet.     Pretty simple he has some good options.   Stay close to home and be a hometown hero for his home state or play for the hottest program in college basketball.   If IU wins out in this recruitment then their 2 2025 kids would be recruiting wins against both of the teams that played in the national championship game.  Don’t care if they are in state kids that would be saying something despite where the program was last year.   If Mullins goes to UConn then you move on knowing IU did everything late in this recruitment to land him.    You could say they should have went all earlier but that didn’t happen.

Of the three teams. I'm confident that IU will be the most successful this year.

You're confident IU is going to be more successful this year than the 2 time defending nation champions?

I am because those 2 time national champions lost a ton of proven talent/ production and they didn't replace it with 100% guaranteed production. The amount of roster turnover they had is hard to do and not miss a beat.

Hurley is a competitive dog. His players seem reflect that. I’d like to see them fall off a bit because I guarantee Hurley is a absolute pain in the @$$ to play for when things don’t go well.

I think he’d be a nightmare to play for!

I'm not saying Barrel Rick has been hog tied and thrown in a closet, but I also can't confirm that he wasn't.

I went back and found some tidbits from him that I have missed in previous threads.  Makes sense why he's gone MIA in the mountains trying to locate where Montana State exactly is located.

Without going back and looking, the last I remember from him was his statement that he is a Mullins.

Then he gave it a Houdini and disappeared.

Edit: Ok, fine. I went back and looked. Last commented on 8/2 regarding Braylon's official to UConn.

Hopefully he's the one who found the bison and is riding it all the way back to Indiana in a blaze of candy-striped glory and that's why he's been off the grid.

He started this thread interestingly and with a bit of flair.  If we can hold off Colby College we could be in really good shape.

hey ya’ll..

for those of you who don’t know me, i am Barrel Rick; the most trustworthy insider in the history of Indiana University Men’s Basketball..

as a smaller number of you may know, i also happen to be the team masseuse here in Bloomington.

during my 6 a.m. appointment with Coach Yasir Rosemond this morning, i was informed that we have extended an offer to Braylon Mullins, the 2025 guard out of Greenfield-Central High School. Mullins’ other current offers include Iowa, Notre Dame, and Virginia Tech among others.

an unbelievably talented shooter, Mullins would make for great company alongside fellow incoming Hoosiers Gabe Cupps, Cooper Flagg, and Jordan Clarkson.

as for the likelihood of his commitment, i can’t be so sure..

Yas explained to me that although these Division 1 offers are enticing, his heart and lifelong fan-ship belongs to the Nordic Mustangs of Colby College in Waterville, Maine, and that if they extend an offer, he may have no choice but to go D3.

anyways, i’ve got to rub Kenya Hunter down in balsamic dressing at 3:15, but i wanted to update the BTB faithful on what’s to come for this program..

p.s.

Alaska Hoosier, you’ve still got my wife’s golf clubs in your cellar; return my calls or else.
