Harms made a fantastic effort in stopping that second shot. But after that, it looked like he was just falling over to either side.

We were at a goalie disadvantage in PKs to be sure. He wasn't particularly close to saving any of the rest of them.

Incredible game. So much fun. Should have had it. Refs didn’t help. That one off the crossbar. 2 inches up we win. That simple. Harms was terrible. Rarely close. I believe we outplayed our talent this season, so for that we must be proud. Go IU

My son (a goalie) caught it right away. Said he’s off the line.

He could've started from the parking lot and saved that shot. If it had pace and was going for side netting, we have a shout.

Say you don’t know anything about soccer without saying you know nothing about soccer. Harms was not terrible. PKs have an almost 80% success. First you have to guess where the guy is going to play it. Then you have to get there.

And that 80% success rate counts one that aren’t on target beyond the control of the keeper.  When on target I bet the e success rate is even higher

I would disagree. It’s was pretty even in my mind.

Coach does need to figure this out. This is 3 straight title games where not maintaining possession and bone headed defense has cost them

How is this on our coach? He just took a team that lacked top end talent to the championship. Their first goal, we had 2 guys in perfect position and they just didn't make the play. Not to mention we missed a complete gimme in the first few minutes of the game.

He wasn't close to saving any of the rest of them. I wouldn't say he was terrible but SU clearly had the goalie advantage.

Getting this far only to lose is exhausting. Doing it 3 times in 6 seasons is even more exhausting.

It’s exhausting, seems like we have some of the best chances in this game to win and nothing. In my opinion, I would rather lose in regulation than in PKs,

Harms only limiting factor in the shootout was his size.  Even when he anticipated right Syracuse still had a margin of error because he couldn’t cover the area.  Not a reflection of his talent.  Also a tip of the hat to Syracuse as they were getting the ball off the ground into the upper third of the goal making a save difficult if not impossible
