There’s no public indication that he actually has an offer at this point and we don’t do threads until we know they do. It would be pretty wild if we hear of a commitment before we hear of an offer. Wonder if that’s happened? Can’t think of 1 off the top of my head.

I did not even realize there was no offer! I just assumed because of the OV and the post about it being between Xavier, Cal, and IU. Never mind!

There probably is in all but name. Top 50 kids don’t visit within their commitment window just to kick the tires. It’s reasonable to assume that a committable offer is forthcoming if they miss on either Thompson or Allmond. And since this is the kid’s best offer without a doubt, unless he chooses to play the long game and wait until spring I imagine this is a pretty serious situation. It could happen quick.

I think we get Thompson and one of the four between Allmond, Taylor, Diana, and Karvala.

For me the probability order for IU is:

1. Thompson
2. Allmond
3. Taylor
4. Karvala
5. Diane

Love the prediction. I will guess Thompson, Karvala, and MAYBE one of the centers (Taylor being most likely).

That sounds completely possible.. And now that CBB pays way more than the European 2nd division 20yo Euro bigs will be falling out of trees in the spring.

Nice highlight reel from 1 of the Karvala games that I watched. He was unconscious from 3 but he played well in general and you can see some of the athletic traits. Couple of things here: 1) He became the school’s all time leading scorer in this game and they stopped it for a minute. That that happened half way through his junior year is probably a fair indicator that the program has never been good. 2) This game broke a long losing streak despite having the best player on the floor probably every night. Explains why he’s at Bella Vista this year. 3) The 2 announcers are brothers, and you can’t tell because of the edit but they didn’t even hide the fact that they think the HC is an idiot. It was actually a pretty good listen.

DaKari Spear, a kid we checked in on more than once but never offered committed to Texas Tech today.

From where we started with this class to where we stand now is notable.  
 

Obvously I want Anthony Thompson.  Hopefully he can have a win-first attitude. Don’t want him to be DeVries’ Romeo Langford.  We will need to surround him with much more ready to go talent on the roster and he’ll need to be willing to play with them.  Ace Bailey was a generational talent that did fine for himself but Rutgers played miserable basketball with him due to 1 strong injured piece of help. That’s not enough to win, no matter how good you are as a freshman.  And Thompson isn’t Ace Bailey.  
 

The DeVries era starts soon.  Well start getting answers.

The thing with Bailey he had another top ranked recruit with him in Harper

He has to have an offer. Whether he’s posted it anywhere or not he must.

Agree.  No school is going to pick up the tab for an OV if it's not a kid they truly want on the roster and they believe has genuine interest in the program.   Just very strange how this is playing out.

Would imagine they may have extended it officially after the Allmond announcement and if he’s not as tied into his social media branding as a Moody he just never got around to or cared about announcing it. Either way, he is a very intriguing player.
