The problem’s that Mike Woodson was a mediocre head coach, and most of his head coaching experience was over a decade ago. Career 46% winning percentage in the NBA. It was an out of the box idea, and maybe it’ll work, but expecting a 63 year old mediocre former NBA head coach to take college basketball by storm was always a long shot.

I don't think Dolson or anyone else for that matter expected him to take CBB by storm, but more get us back to stable ground of making the tournament year in year out. IF he can do that, we are a much more attractive destination when we search for the next coach when he decides he's had enough.

I pray we didn't just hire a coach as a transition coach. That didn't happen they are hoping he can build a contender. Plus if big if we lose games like this he isn't doing that anyway

I have a feeling our next HC is already on our bench.

Depends what you define transition as. I certainly don't expect a 63 year old to be here for 20+ years. But if he can coach here for 10 years and make the tourney 90% of the time, I'd be happy with that relative to what I've sat and watched the past 6 years or so

OK I agree but he won't be here 10 years if we don't start moving in a positive direction. Now back to the game

PSU ball.

Man, I did not like what just happened there.

On the road, unless you get an easy dunk -- I think you want that possession to be the last one of regulation.

We're not very good at getting quality looks. Probably the best to take the first one you get and hope for a rebound
