John Tonje committed to New Mexico last Thursday.  Yesterday he pulled that commitment and today sources say he is committing to Wisconsin.

Tonje went to Missouri last year but missed most the season due to injury.  Year before he was at Colorado State, averaging 14.6 pts and 4.7 reb.

Santos either greatly improved his shot or this was an outlier year because his 1st 2 years from 3 were......not good. That's being nice about it

In this current period of everyone looking for older kids, Quaintance is gonna a very interesting case to follow. He may be really physically gifted, but that kid is crazy young. He’ll player his entire freshman year as a 17 year old. When he hits a campus this June he’ll still be 16. I’m not clear on what expectations should be for him.

ASU, huh? Will be real interested to see how this goes.

not surprising, Goldin to Michigan.

May now has Danny Wolf and Vlad Goldin on his roster.  Two bigs....along with Will Tschetter.  All three really slow.  Forget the question about how Woodson keeping two bigs on the floor together -- it's a hell of a lot easier keeping Reneau and Ware or Reneau and Ballo on the court together.

I'm just going to say it:  Danny Wolf is not a big ten starting caliber player.  Against teams with pulse last -- Ivy League teams of any value -- he was bad.  Against Gonzaga, Kansas, San Diego State, and Auburn:  he was 11 of 39 from the field with 27 rebounds.  Averaged 8.3 points and 6.8 rebounds in about 30 minutes/game.  I simply can't see him being on the court alongside Goldin.  Wolf is the backup 5 IMO without a real possibility of being a 4 in any lineup.

Another element of NIL impact: if a program is looking for a new HC, say 11 or 12 months from now, how many really good guys are more readily available than you think? Supposedly Tommy Lloyd gave serious thought to the Washington job because Zona’s NIL program is subpar. You gotta think Holloway will certainly be available.

I’ll also add just for farts and gigs that Ballo had 13 points and 21 boards in the FAU game this year (that Zona lost, in fairness) and Goldin fouled out in 23 minutes.

I’m not overly worried about their frontcourt.
