Tucker Devries, Drake. Two time MVC player of the year. 6’7” Guard/wing.  21.6 ppg, 6.7 rpg, 3.7 apg.  44/36/81.  This year’s Knecht?

His dad just took the W. Virginia job. Don’t you think he’ll follow?

This would mean Reneau at the 5 or coming off the bench.  Defensively, Reneau cannot play the 5 against good teams or teams with a large post player.  I'm just not seeing us as a fit for Tucker unless MgBako goes pro. I just don't see Tucker going anywhere without being promised a starting role.

Reneau can and has played the 5. He was the backup 5 his freshman year at IU. That was his only role most of the season. Later in the year he started to get limited minutes next to TJD at the 4.

Reneau is a post player, and projects as one of the better post players in the conference. He should be our starting 5 next year. I'm all for bringing in a bigger center to be in the rotation, and I'm not opposed to occasional looks where that guy and Reneau play together. It just shouldn't be our primary option.

Does Woodson agree with me... I kind of doubt it.

Good player (and I know others already answered about him going to WVU) but I'm not sure him and Knecht are on the same planet. Probably more a credit to Knecht than a knock on Tucker in fairness, but I'll be curious to see how he holds up in the Big 12.

Neither could Ware. See the Auburn, Uconn, and both Purdue games. But he played there all year long.

True, but Ware handled Wisconsin, Maryland, Minnesota, Michigan State, and Penn State during our 5-game win streak.  He was truly a difference maker on both ends in those games. I think he learned from the butt whippings earlier in the year.

If Louisville hires Pat Kelsey, he's going to have his work cut out for him.  Everybody hitting the portal there.  Skyy Clark and Mike James already in, now Tre White and Brandon Huntley Hatfield join.

White:  6'7" wing.  Played his freshman year at USC.  12.3 points and 5.9 rebounds last year at Louisille.  Poor perimeter shooter, decent slasher.  35th ranked player in class of 2022.

Huntley-Hatfield, 6''10" post.  Played his freshman year at Tennessee, last two years at Louisville.  12.9 ppg, 8.4 rpg.

Joshua Ola-Joseph, Minnesota, in the portal.  6'7" forward.  Two years eligibility.  Started 43 games in two seasons with the Gophers.  57/40/65 shooter over two season.  Not a tremenously high volume three point shooter but about 1/4th of his shots are threes.  Over two seasons, averaged 19 mpg, 7.4 points and 2.5 rebounds.

Question:  Belmont has three pretty high in demand players in the portal  -- Gillespie, Tyson, and Dia.  The three sophomores combined for over 50 points/game last year at Belmont, which finished fourth in the MVC last year.

Is this indicative of Belmont underperforming in the MVC or is it indicative of how underrated the MVC was last year?

Mason Faslev, Utah State.  6'3" freshman.  11.3 points, 4.4 reb, 2.4 ast.  Shot 56/31/64.  Was a good football prospect as well coming out of high school

C.J. Wilcher, Nebraska.  Interesting.  Shooting specialist.  Averaged about 8 points all three seasons in Nebraska.  154 of 418 from three for his career (37%).  Shot 39% from three last season.
