Is it weird that I'm pining for Chester Frazier to come to Indiana? Feels wrong lol

Not really. I’d like to think he’s a lot more mature at 38 than he was at 18…think most people are.

Elliot Cadeau,5 star pg from UNC who made the freshman AA team last year, and also famous for leading the marching band in the hotel commercial, enters the portal.

Dudes stats are almost identical to Enright’s while playing with a much better supporting cast. Plus he’s too small to start in the B10.

Per ESPN, in less minutes Cadeau scored more ppg, had the same amount of apg, shot better percentages both overall and for the 3.

Per ESPN he’s 1 inch shorter and weighs the exact same as Enright

My last comment about Cadeau was completely TIC. Enright and Cadeau’s numbers are very comparable and Enright would be a fourth of the cost and has two years experience in DeVries system.

And neither are very good.  If Enright comes to IU and shoots 60% from the charity stripe I might break all my TVs.

This whole thing about being in someone’s system is so dated. It’s like when people were genuinely convinced it takes 4 years to learn Archie’s PackLine defense.

Many examples this season of brand new rosters with brand new coaches having sucesss.  Basketball is basketball. Some coaches empahasize different things but there’s a long off-season to prepare.

You’re lying to yourself if you don’t think coaches prefer continuity and familiarity. Why did Cignetti bring damn near his entire staff and some 17-18 players with him from JMU, many who were recruited at the FCS level, to the B10 if it’s just “football”.

Lol.

1. Well football and basketball are completely different sports.
2. Staff continuity vs player continuity aren’t equal.
3. Cignetti properly scouted guys that could play at the level he wanted. Football teams are huge and you need depth.
4. You’ll die on the Hill that CE is the guy we want at point or backup point, and I’ll die on the hill it’s a roster spot we wish we would have improved by mid-season.

The same rules apply. DeVries wouldn’t be recruiting Enright if he didn’t think he could play at this level…clearly.

I guess we’ll see. Clearly. Maybe he can become an average free throw shooting PG over the off season. The simplest thing anyone can Predict from season to season. I’ve watched him try to get to the rim against not B1G defense.

Who knows if he will do good if he comes to IU.  Just like you have seen him try to get to the rim against non B1G defense I’ve seen him get to the rim against Big East and some other high major teams this year.  I’ve also seen him struggle mightily in some games.  If he is healthy he will help some high major team next year.  Not going to be a superstar 5 star kid however he will help someone.   IU has a total of 2 guaranteed spots on the roster as of today.   Getting a kid that Iowa, Iowa st, Colorado, ND and Texas tech wouldn’t be a bad thing.   I would recommend watching one of his games against UConn this year.   He had a heck of a game

I think @Stuhoo probably deserves some flowers about his little Richard propaganda during our coaching search.

Big 10 coach of the year, MWC coach of the year, hired by New Blood program with two recent national championships, bringing AA guard with him for immediate year one success.

Not saying I would’ve been thrilled with the hire, but that’s quite a haul.
