In an ideal world where MM comes back I would put him at the 4.

1- ?

2-?

3- McNeely

4- MM

5- Reneau

If we get Queen I would have him backup Reneau and would play them together a little but not the whole game. We need to find a PG or hope Cupps back a huge jump before next year. We have to go out a get another knock down shoot to play at the 2

100% correct. MM is a 4. I've been saying this all season. Malik is a 5, who can step out every once in a while. Both have to get better at rebounding this offseason.

I agree at this level they are. My concern would be if we manage to land Queen then Woodson would just play Queen at the 5 and Reneau at the 4.

Malik is a four on defense and a five on offense.

Probably true, but the rotations in this scenario are really simple:

1) Reneau-Mgbako-McNeeley

2) Queen-Reneau-Mgbako

3) Queen-Mgbako-McNeeley

4) Queen-Reneau-McNeeley

No knock on Ware at all, but this works a lot better than what you’re dealing with now. Way better complimentary pieces. Yeah, you’ve lost rim protection, but you’ve gained skill, floor spacing and versatility. Would love this, the guard situation is the concern.

Maybe MM is a 4.

But Reneau really isn’t 5. He doesn’t rim protect or rebound well enough to be a college 5.

I would say Mgbako’s not a full-time 3 at this level. I’ve been impressed sporadically with his rebounding, and guarding college 4s probably masks his defensive deficiencies at this point.

I was encouraged when Queen’s defense on a perimeter switch impressed you a week or two ago, Demo. I love a real rim protector, but plenty of good defenses just force tough shots without one — Tennessee the best current example IMHO

If he leaves then that suggests to me we have no interest in Davis.

I don't know for sure but I was told he left after the first game. That he was only there to see Tiller. Do you know if he stayed?

So is it fair to assume they’re looking at Tiller as a ‘24? Didn’t he say this trip was to look at ‘24’s?

Yes, he said that. Tiller is for sure a 24 yet, supposedly his family wants him to be a 25.

Tiller’s a super talented kid. Like him a lot. But he and Queen would not make a ton of sense in the same class, or really any sense. They’re different kinds of players but very much occupy similar roles. That absolutely feels like an either/or proposition.

That's why we would probably take both, it doesn't make sense

He said he would be out recruiting on Tuesday and then specifically added it was '24 recruiting.

And I've read elsewhere that talk of a re-class for Tiller has cooled.

No idea if Lasley knows for certain or when he actually wrote his story but he names Davis.

I just got tickets to the Metro Classic, going to see Link Academy vs Brewster Academy and Montverde vs. La Lumiere. Pretty pumped.

Not too familiar with Link/Brewster... if anyone is aware of IU targets on those rosters/LaLu, I'd appreciate the heads up.

That is a really nice doubleheader. No IU offers on either, but I seem to recall them watching ‘25 Brewster wing Dwayne Aristode at some point last summer, or I  might have just dreamt it. But, you’ll be the 1st one around here to see next giant kid to go through the Purdue laboratory. 7’3” ‘24 PU commit Daniel Jacobsen plays for Brewster.
Will be interested to see what you think of Darius Adams up close. Can’t quite put my finger on it, but I don’t love him.

In addition to what Demo posted, Link Academy has Jasper Johnson who just eliminated us from his offer list earlier this week.
