Top 2 NET teams that don’t make the tourney from each of those conferences

That would be Ohio state and northwestern in the big ten unless something strange happens.  Northwestern passed IU yesterday, likely when Oregon ballooned the lead late.

As I mentioned, Collins said northwestern would not accept an nit or crown bid so we’ll see what contractually obligated means.

Surprinsingly, in the 55 brackets posted on Bracketmatrix today, IU is in the tourney in 47 of them.

xavier makes it in 28.
North Carolina in 43.

Texas in 40

boist state in 12

line of thinking among brackets is 3 of the 5 are in.  San Diego state also misses in 5 brackets.

Worth keeping in mind Lunardi works for espn which has tv rights to Acc and sec.  I’m not shocked he moved both Texas and UNC in the field after yesterday.   Other bracketologist that have a better track record still have IU ahead of them.   Going to be close

Good point.  The same people tried to edge IU out of the CFP

You mean Heather 'Revoke Her Degree' Dinich Morrie Lunardi has a conflict of interest? Do tell.

If Texas gets in they will have a record of 12-15 against the top 3 Quads. No team has gotten an at-large with a losing record against the top 3 Quads.  I think they might sneak it though

I know it isn’t a head to head comparison or necessarily what the committee focuses on but IU vs Texas:

We have better record in common games, Texas loss to OSU and South Carolina

Texas worst loss - South Carolina

IU has the best win - at Michigan State

Texas seems like it should be closer to Ohio St than above IU

Consensus from Bracket Matrix seems to be 6 teams for 4 spots, currently in this order (highest to lowest chance):

San Diego St, Indiana, UNC, Texas, Xavier, Boise St.

Any bid thief would take away one of the 4 available spots. UNC and Boise St have opportunities to help themselves tonight.

Texas has 7 Q1 wins and IU has 4.  Arguments for each on which should be above one or the other.  Will come down to what the committee decide is most important.  Ius non con sos is better

Why wouldn't he want to play more games? Hmmm
