I am not justifying anything and believe our fans should show up more but even All NW's success with Fitzgerald this decade they have not seen a huge attendance increase.

There’re also not a State school with enrollment over 50k, with hundreds of thousands of alumni nearby and their local community doesn’t support them outside of Evanston. I don’t expect their attendance to change but I thought we could at least be 90% full today. A win and we will either be ranked or on the cusp

For all this talk about the NW D they are certainly better than the atrocities we have faced on D last few weeks but they are not elite by any means and so far we are pushing them around in the trenches.

They're solid. I think they get boosted up by playing some of these awful offenses in the B1G

Also from twitter pics not full but crowd def. up from a normal IU game. Looks like 45kish as oppose to 35-40k. Thats a start against a team who doesn't travel.
