With a modicum of effort, I've grouped the Nike players by position so it may be a little easier to see how a specific PG is doing in relation to the others. Positions are very fluid these days, but I used the position that accompanied the start of the player's own btb thread. Just a reminder that all of these kids but 2 are '19. Zion Harmon is '21 and Ethan Morton is a '20. I'll work on the same thing for adidas and UA and then try to merge them into a single spreadsheet so you'll be able to compare all of the guards/forwards across the Nike/adidas/UA spectrum. Class of '66 Old Fart Posted May 15, 2018 Author Posted May 15, 2018 OK boys and girls, I have all of the players across the shoe spectrum categorized by position. Because there are lots of names, I'll post the guards below and in separate posts the forwards and centers. I've added each target's shoe affiliation after their AAU team. This is the 3rd year I've kept track of AAU stats and it's pretty clear the majority of the top tier talent plays on the Nike circuit followed by adidas and then UA. Not saying a kid who plays on the UA circuit isn't an exceptionally good and talented basketball player and a player we'd like to see in candystripes, but I do think it's fair to say that the overall level of competition on the UA circuit isn't that of Nike and something to keep in your mind when you're comparing player stats. I didn't realize what happened until I looked at my spreadsheet and the shoe company names were all there so I took a closer look at the posts and realized some of the names got wrapped to a second line. Class of '66 Old Fart Posted May 25, 2018 Author Posted May 25, 2018 Nike and adidas both with events this holiday weekend starting on Saturday and coaches are again prohibited from attending in accordance with the NCAA recruiting calendar. Stats will be posted when they become available. The Nike event takes place in Hampton, VA; adidas at multiple locations although players of interest to us will mostly be playing in Chicago.
