TheWatShot Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 Catch the women's game Saturday afternoon, then head over to the baseball field to watch the baseball team play Butler. Sounds like a good time. Iugradman, thebigweave, RBB89 and 2 others 5 Quote

Popular Post Magnanimous Posted March 29, 2018 Popular Post Posted March 29, 2018 I realize that the statement was a facade leading up to Crean's firing (and that it was regarding the men's program), but seeing these girl's roll at home in the NIT...I just have to smirk a bit thinking about Glass last year saying that hosting an NIT game in a half-empty Hall is beneath IU. Hopefully it's well over 10k on Saturday. They deserve it! LIHoosier, IUWBBFan, thebigweave and 6 others 9 Quote
Popular Post Class of '66 Old Fart Posted March 29, 2018 Popular Post Posted March 29, 2018 Regardless of Saturday's outcome, we can't thank these two young women enough for what they've meant to IUWBB and hope they find the same success in whatever career they choose as they've found these past 4 years. Thank you Tyra and Thank You Amanda. mamasa, ThompsonHoosier, thebigweave and 7 others 9 1 Quote
mamasa Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 I was blown away by the number of kids there (students too, but I'm talking younger ones). The players are so incredible to sign shirts and high five the fans after getting beat up and running themselves silly during the game. This team has fanned the flames for support from the fans, and a large part is due to Buss and Cahill. One thing I thought was really interesting was that the kids gravitated to Marchese after the game- she looked genuinely happy to interact with the kids. Cahill and Buss exemplify class! Class of '66 Old Fart Posted March 31, 2018 Posted March 31, 2018 Rabjohns - As of 9:30 a.m., 8,430 tickets had been sold to the WNIT title game at Indiana, per an IU official. That ranks 2nd already for IU women's basketball attendance, ahead of 8,136 (vs. Penn State, 2008). IU women’s record attendance is 10,022 (vs. Purdue 2005). GO IU!
