Newkirk only played 4 minutes, had 0 turnovers, 1 rebound and 1 assist.  The blown lead was not on Newkirk...that was a team effort (blowing a big lead). 

Didn't say he was responsible for the run but I saw at least 3 possessions where he drove in a crowd of red jerseys and no points come out of it. I saw ESPN had only 1 to for him but I think there was at least one more. He has no clue in this game! And that last possession what did he think he was going to do trying to take only the whole lane by himself!

His defense has been awful all year. I like Smith but he has to improve significantly on defense (or offense) if he's going to play big minutes going forward. 

I watched him on defense actually. When things were going well, he was doing his work on defense early on in the possession and then being in good position. When things started to go south, well, it was the direct opposite
