Hardly feels "tier 1" with no Lynch and no Coffey but it was a good win nonetheless. I assumed it helps with our resume because they mentioned tier 1 and tier 2 wins on espn.com. Unfortunately they were talking about that horrible school northwest of us having 4 of them Quote

If the continue to lose their rpi will go down and that tier 1 win will drop but if Minny starts winning without them and their rpi improves then committee will view that win as a tier 1 road win Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Quote
Bailey7878 Posted January 9, 2018 Posted January 9, 2018 Curious who you do think will play guard next year? Phinisee, Green and Durham are the only guard's as of now. Are you expecting Hunter &/or Anderson will pick up minutes at SG? Anderson no. One or two grad transfers probably. Maybe Romeo but doubtful. Durham needs alot of work.Sent from my SM-J700T using Tapatalk Quote

Durham can't shot.Sent from my SM-J700T using Tapatalk Quote
IUHAHN81 Posted January 9, 2018 Posted January 9, 2018 The fact we r even talking about losing at home just makes me hang my head. Lose wherever but not at home darn it! That place is too special to look like we have there. Let's start fresh and not lose anymore there. Ok, sounds good. :) ALASKA HOOSIER, BGleas, IUBBFan1970 and 3 others 6 Quote

They have zero depth and the depth they have is bad.Sent from my SM-J700T using Tapatalk Quote

In my opinion they will still win some big games without Lynch. Take away those awful home losses and IU would be in decent shape with the 2 Tier 1 wins compared to other teams but those 2 losses are tier 4 losses and will be hard to overcome. Good news is with Ohio st hot start they give IU a chance for 2 more Tier 1 wins. IU will have opportunities for quality wins (Purdue,MSU, Ohio st) at home and (MSU, Ohio st) on the road. That’s 5 games against rpi top 25 teams. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app IUsafety, HoosierAloha and ALASKA HOOSIER 3 Quote
HoosierAloha Posted January 9, 2018 Posted January 9, 2018 Durham will be a contributor one day. Not every kid is a stud from day 1. He does a few things well. The NCAAT should not be our mark with this team. After all the ups and downs we have had, I think an NIT invite would be a good accomplishment and more games for our young guys to play.I'm still high on Durham because he gets it. I'm not sure he'll ever be all Big Ten but he'll play a role. I could see him becoming a much better shooter, able to get to the rim better, and a defensive stopper. 15-20 minutes in a reserve role as a sophomore would be a good start. His role has dropped off since the Dook game. Hopefully once he's comfortable he'll step up a bit like Remy. I'll never forget that corner three at little brothers place.
