You can't let your team get blown out twice on your home floor to mid major teams. Notre Dame and Duke was good but the bad has been really bad. I'm hoping the future is bright, but if I'm grading the present, it hasn't been great. What do you do when your senior "leaders" decide to not show up for the games against Indiana State and Fort Wayne? Yep coaches fault alright. Bailey7878 Posted December 22, 2017 Posted December 22, 2017 All-time? I seem to remember a 6-25 season that was quite bleak. Then came a 10 win season the next year. We've got much more going for us right now. Stay strong! Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile appBut those seasons did not count!!!Sent from my SM-J700T using Tapatalk Josh 1 Quote
Bailey7878 Posted December 22, 2017 Posted December 22, 2017 What makes you say Archie gets a C? Other than the fact it seems that your opinion is he is to tough on these players that Crean recruited that don't understand good shot selection or want any part I playing defense. Oh and if you notice any of the games like Notre Dame and Duke that he had time to game plan for the team has played much better in.I believe he deserves a C as well. Those two home blowouts are not good and you don't get a B with those on your record right now. He needs quality wins to raise the grade. And for the record I gave crean a D last year so I'm not being harsh.Sent from my SM-J700T using Tapatalk Quote

Yep coaches fault alright. Right. Everyone takes responsibility for a bad loss, but these are more on your upperclassmen than your coach. No matter who you are three are always things you can do better, CAM included. But at the end of the game, it was those guys on the floor and they are responsible for the effort put forth. bleedhoosier Posted December 23, 2017 Posted December 23, 2017 I think you can tell when a team looks ill prepared in a loss (perhaps against a 2-3 zone ahem), which would be on the coach vs a game like IPFW where it looks like the players have their head completely up their rectumSent from my SCH-I545 using BtownBanners mobile app Feathery, A.j. Popular Post Feathery Posted December 23, 2017 Popular Post Posted December 23, 2017 I think Archie is doing a fantastic job. I’ve already said I couldn’t care less about wins and losses this year. To me it’s all about setting the foundation, which is what he is doing. Watch our offensive sets when the team is playing smart and under control. It typically leads to a wide open shot, we just aren’t a good shooting team. Watch the defense and when people get wide open 3’s. It’s typically from a lack of communication or a player is slow to get out on the man. To me this seasons struggles have been about the players, as the system on both sides of the ball look to be very sound. Mid expect some more ups and downs this season. We just have a limited roster, I don’t care where players were ranked in high school. This is a different level and they were recruited to play in a totally different style. They are going through culture shock right now. BGleas, HoosierDYT, woodenshoemanHoosierfan and 11 others 14 Quote
