And Kentucky has been to 6 elite eights and 4 final fours in the past 8 seasons. Their program is seen as the elite of the elite. There are worse things as a fan to deal with.

So yes, you are ok with Calipari and Kentucky, and would be ok cheering for a variation of them. That’s the answer to my question, and leaves us nothing to debate about. You can compromise on morals to win, and I cannot.

I have nothing to do with it. IU wouldn't be compromising the players' integrity. If they didn't come here they would go to another team willing to play the game. That's on the recruits. Do you think UK fans are sad about watching their team go deep in the tournament year in and year out?

Will you buy tickets? Watch games? Buy gear? You support it then.

You want to be like Kentucky?

I can't believe we're legitimizing this as an issue.  It's like you grew up without a father figure to teach you right from wrong.

It's simple.  Don't cheat.

What constitutes a gray area? For me:

1) otherwise good kid with possibly disqualifying academic issues? Yes

2) kid that requires a questionable hire? Possibly

3) kid with a criminal history? Probably not, depending on both the situation and the kid

3) kid requiring payment? Not a chance

That being said, i’m not willing to concede that having a successful program requires that much of that sort of thing. Wisky, Michigan, Nova and UVA have had awfully  good runs while, I believe, being pretty clean about it. And I believe we are better set up for success than those schools.

Well said. I left it at "gray area" for exactly what you questioned, since there's a lot of interpretation there.

Show the proof. Just because you believe it's so, doesn't make it true. Could what you are alleging be true? Sure, but there is no proof.

Look you like to argue and I get that. I know you think these programs are squeaky clean. I simply don't think they are and I'm entitled to that opinion. I'm sorry you don't like it.

And for the record yes I think vandy is dirty. It's an opinion which you don't share but it's what I believe.

I've never said I thought they were squeaky clean. I just tho king people speaking in absolutes without evidence Is wrong. An opinion isn't fact. Is it possible? Yes, but until I see proof, I won't speak in absolutes. So far there has been no proof with Duke. L'ville, Kansas, Calipari there has been ample evidence.

There is no way for me to provide proof. I'm not in the fbi or the ncaa. However, when I see schools like Arizona and Louisville paying players I come to the conclusion it's impossible they are the only ones. Coach k from Utah says he knows for a fact he has lost recruits to money at other programs. He also says he will never cheat.

When Kentucky is caught then you can send them to hell all you want. Fact is, Kentucky isn’t doing anything wrong(that we know of) and they’re winning a lot. People need to put their pitchforks and torches away. They aren’t needed. Indiana needs to try and be on that level on the court. Indiana won’t recruit at that level, but can perform at that level.

I mean, that’s a great innocent till proven guilty mentality, but one that I cannot honestly apply when the head coach has two priors.
