If you're in the process of hiring a coach, would you really tell someone they are or aren't the top candidate? I would think you'd just tell them they're one of many candidates. However, I have never hired a coach, so I don't know.

Had to step away for a bit this afternoon/evening and may have missed this, but have Bozich, Rabjohns, or any other media member commented on the BD rumor from today?

I see what 41 posted and logistically, it would have been very difficult for BD and IU to pull off what has been mentioned.

Id say the search firm is monitoring boards like this and twitter fan favorability is a key factor many forget in a coaching search they dont get paid if the fans dont watch the school wich pays the firm wont make money off a hire that splits the fans and loses revenue so with such a polarizing figure like alford it wouldnt be too far out of the blue for them to let him know wich means he wasnt really a candidate for the job
