FWIW, Milehi (247) just posted that Billy D may be getting cold feet (ala the Orlando job) and that Alford is a backup plan. Sigh....

He didn't say anything about Alford in his recent post, just that Donovan was less likely.

I am so tired of these guys saying Billy D is ours then he isnt every other day. Calm down people if it was already a YES we probably have a better idea than a few message board guys saying it. It has never been a yes or no. If it was no it wouldnt still be a topic of discussion. I am sure one day Billy thinks he wants it and next he isnt so sure. That is gonna be the case with most legit candidates specially one with as many options as him. This weekend is key for our search. With all the games going and Billy have a few days off it will really get the ball rolling. IMO Glass was never rolling his sleeves up until after this weekend when he has most of his candidates and has had time to talk to every single one.

Yes he does. I would not of posted his podcast info if I didn't trust him and think he was legitimate. I know him just a little bit also but not well at all.

The Tony Bennett rumor from the UVA guy was after Reuter transferred and he said something along the lines of here comes the mass exodus blah blah blah and then went on to say are people really that stupid to think IU doesnt have Tony in the bag already. He was legit but it kinda sounded like an angry rant or his gf dumped him and was having a bad day lol. Im guessing thats why he deleted them. The Indy guy hears every rumor before anyone though but his source is twitter I have caught on. He is definitely worth the follow for that reason tho. He doesnt share the complete bs stuff too which makes me respect him a little as a twitter troll.

I get why some people may not want Alford, but This is a pretty good article in his defense. I'm warming up to the idea of him, not saying he's my first choice or even in my top 3, but I'd still have hope if we hire him.

If we did get Chris Mack you know who would be very close behind him? Paul Scruggs. Not sure how this hasnt been mentioned yet. To his defense he has upped his recognition. He had Wilkes interested and a few other guys too. If he made the final four I could live with him if Scruggs came too. Maybe Blueitt graduates and comes too ;)
