I was sold at Billy D but even more so with Anthony Grant and Donnie Jones. Add Shane Heirmann from La Lumiere and Derek Elston. Add a possible Colin Hartman and possibly Guyton along w whoever else and I would be as happy as possible.

This is why I question whether or not we're getting an NBA guy.  They're busy for another couple of months minimum; and we can't wait that long.   Billy Donovan's 51.   Maybe past his prime a bit.  Had a hard time beating Butler....    There is one perfect hire, and I think he'll be busy until late May or early June; and he's probably not coming.   An announcement soon means a college guy.  I might ask Stevens "if not you, who would you hire?"

OKC's season will be over by late April, or early May.  If you can get Billy Donovan, then you can wait until then for him.  You don't settle for a lesser coach because you dont want to wait a couple weeks.

Say we hire a guy today it is March 18th. Most recruits are spoken for even with coaching changes. Alford only leaves for here and I would rather wait until the day before the season than hire him and beside his guys there is no recruit worth jumping for that we could get. Waters isnt even mentioning us now. Mark Smith is the only viable option and he has Illinois and Missouri ahead of us. A guy like Donovan is the only way we could steal him. Grad guys dont usually happen till May anyways. The playoffs start April 12th. He could be done by the end of the month and here. To answer the question yes we should wait. Missing on a okay kid is not worth the risk to hire someone just to hire them. Archie is the only guy not coaching right now even that we could get. I would take him in a heartbeat but not over Billy D if time is the only issue.
