I disagree.  I think he's a very different coach here than he would be anywhere else.  Bill Belichick was awful with the Browns.  For example.

Defended Pierre Pierce adamantly and his close friend and priest conveniently met with the victim. Answer honestly, are you comfortable with that kind of person coaching at Indiana? If so, we have nothing further to discuss. I don't understand how many here can get so indignant about other programs not doing things the "right way", and then in the same breath call Alford as the savior of the program.

That said, who are the assistants you most like to see at Indiana? Given the speculation regarding their future head coaching abilities, I want Dane Fife and Calbert Cheaney on the bench.

It was in regards to the money pool for assistants, meaning the assistant coaches will get paid.

If you are saying a two time NCAA champ doesn't fit Indianas culture I think that might be part of our problem.

That article MDN posted says differently. I would love to be convinced otherwise but that article and a poor apology after he accepted the UCLA job suggest some truth to it. If you have something that counters MDNs article please post as I would love to see a differing summary

Defended before he knew facts is VERY different than "covered up."  Come on...get real.  As soon as the facts came out, he issued a very public and very sincere apology for saying what he did; and he's just a coach who defended a player.  Covered up?   No.  That did not happen.

I think most complaints are his age, and that he probably won't be good enough to get use a national title, which so far kind of look valid. Though he has never had the same resources he'd have if he were here.

Did you read the report issued by the president of UI? The one that explicitly stated an individual with connections to Alford met with the victim to discuss her decision on whether or not to press charges? I suggest you do some more research.
