I'd like to see Crean give some of JBJ's and TB's minutes to the young guys. I'd like to see De'ron and Green each get around 30 minutes to see what they can do. It's a chance to play a road game against another P5 school, and it sounds like Georgia Tech will have a big crowd so it's a worthwhile experience, imo. Since the NIT doesn't matter it would give the young guys a chance to get some valuable minutes and carry some momentum into the offseason. Cujo, DG, De'ron, McSwain, etc. are all going to be key next year so a road game against an ACC school could really help them. If our main guys don't bring it from the start then I say screw it, let the young guys finish the season out. mdn82, Hoosier Guy and Class of '66 Old Fart 3 Quote

It's the NIT and it doesn't mean anything except giving younger guys more playing experience. And I can probably guarantee that the main guys won't bring it at all. But will Crean change his ways? I'm gonna side with no ALASKA HOOSIER and Hoosierfan2017 2 Quote

I think defensively we would be better, and not much drop off offensively depending who we sub out. Hoosierfan2017 Posted March 14, 2017 Posted March 14, 2017 DG/RoJo/Morgan/McSwain/Davis I wonder what a lineup like that would look like. We wouldn't have as much 3 point firepower but we'd have nice size. Get some in/out action going. Hoosier Guy 1 Quote

McSwain makes me nervous whenever he dribbles but I think he's gotten a lot better this year. He's a big body that can play d and clean up the glass. I feel like about every other game he gets a putback dunk that energizes the team. I'm just not a fan of 3 guard lineups so I was thinking of what we could do with a more "traditional" lineup. I don't think we'll see it tonight but I can dream lol. Quote

coonhounds Posted March 14, 2017 Posted March 14, 2017 Why has Priller not gotten much run since purdue? He looked good imo but that is typical for our coach. Msb needs 15 minutes tonight imoSent from my SM-G920V using BtownBanners mobile app Napleshoosier, LIHoosier and ALASKA HOOSIER 3 Quote
coonhounds Posted March 14, 2017 Posted March 14, 2017 I feel like our guys were sent on a suicide mission for no good reason. I remember us playing here twice and both times we got crushed one of those were creans first year i think. The only reason he looked decent is because the Purdue players literally acted like he wasn't even on the court. Go look at every play he scored, his man acted like Purdue was playing 5 on 4. Edit: He gave more effort than most of the guys, which isn't saying much either. Its great to see a guy go out there and give effort, but he is completely outclassed by major D-1 talent. Last thing I want to watch is him trying to match up against Lammers Quote

Class of '66 Old Fart Posted March 14, 2017 Posted March 14, 2017 If any of our freshmen get extremely limited minutes for no apparent reason, i.e., a blowout either way, it may be an indication they've already given off signals they may not return. Quote
